At the meeting, relevant responsible comrades of the Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, Overseas Chinese and Foreign Affairs Committee of the CPPCC Provincial Committee made a thematic report. Yan Weiping, Wu Liping, Han Wen, Zhang Fangtao, etc four Members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial CPPCC made speeches and put forward suggestions. Li Sijin stressed that it is necessary to thoroughly study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important statements on Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan work, and on overseas Chinese affairs, implement the decisions and arrangements of the provincial party committee and government, fully understand the importance of supporting and serving the development of overseas Chinese enterprises in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and help the healthy development of overseas Chinese enterprises in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan in our province. We should carefully build a carrier and platform for the introduction of overseas Chinese from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, invite compatriots of overseas Chinese from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan to return to Shanxi to participate in exchange and investigation activities, work together for the development of their hometown, give full play to the role of Hong Kong and Macao fellow townsfolk associations, patriotic Taiwanese, and overseas Chinese groups as bridges and links, and guide more enterprises of overseas Chinese from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan to invest and start business in Shanxi.
