Wanggangping Centralized Resettlement Site is the largest resettlement site with the largest area and the largest number of resettled people in the post disaster recovery and reconstruction of the "September 5" Luding Earthquake in Shimian County. At present, there are 644 households with 2391 people, and it is also a large centralized resettlement site with mixed Han, Yi and Tibetan populations. In November 2023, the resettlement site will be officially delivered, and the villagers will live in spacious and bright new houses, but many old customs will also be brought to the resettlement site, and the scene of disharmony among neighbors will increase abruptly.
In order to actively guide the reconstruction households to consciously abandon the old rules and customs, and jointly create a civilized and progressive society with a clean and upright style, the CPPCC County Committee carefully planned this World Reading Day themed activity with the theme of "building together with one heart and cultural people".
At the event site, members of the CPPCC County Committee and reconstruction households learned the relevant important statements of General Secretary Xi Jinping on the construction of spiritual civilization and the classic contents of traditional Chinese culture. The host read "Di Zi Gui" and "San Zi Jing" in Chinese; Mao Chengde, member of the CPPCC County Committee, read aloud the classic chapters of the Yi moral classic Mamuteyi in the Yi language; Wang Dejun, member of the CPPCC County Committee and inheritor of China's intangible culture, read the Tibetan Tao Te Ching in fluent Tibetan. Reconstruction households have expressed that they will change their bad habits, emphasize civilization, and strive to become advocates, disseminators and practitioners of changing customs.

Chen Hongzhong, chairman of the CPPCC Shimian County, said that rural construction requires both seeing things and people, shaping and casting souls.
