Shenzhen, June 16 (Reporter Hong Qiuting) The reporter learned from Guangdong Communications Group that the Shenzhen China Channel passed the handover and acceptance on the 16th. After seven years of preparation and construction, this world-class cross sea cluster project has completed various construction tasks. The project quality has passed the test and will soon be "on duty", marking the key "horizontal" for the "A" shaped transportation main skeleton of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area.

After opening to traffic, the drive from Shenzhen, Guangdong to Zhongshan will be shortened from 2 hours to less than 30 minutes.

The Shenzhen China Channel is about 30km away from Humen Bridge in the north and 31km away from Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge in the south. It starts from Shenzhen Airport, crosses Lingdingyang Sea in the west and connects with Nanzhong Expressway (Nansha Zhongshan), and connects with Zhongkai Expressway (Zhongshan Kaiping) at Ma'an Island, Zhongshan. The project integrates "bridge, island, tunnel and underwater interconnection", with a total length of about 24km, and is one of the most difficult cross sea cluster projects in the world.

The project has made major breakthroughs in the key technologies for the construction of ultra wide steel shell concrete immersed tube tunnels, the key technologies for the construction of offshore medium and super span suspension bridges, and the key technologies for the operation safety assurance of cross sea traffic cluster projects.
