RiNeo V1.1 enhancements

User setting interface

The current screen features (black screen interface) and machine features (traditional interface) are unified into one interface. The enhanced UI interface makes it easier to set the system, tray, copy/document, fax, print, scan, maintain, query and counter settings.

Set search function

The new retrieval function can use keywords to retrieve the required settings. In order to locate the required content more accurately, multiple keywords can be entered for retrieval.

Appointment copy

To save time, this new function allows the device to preset a new copy job while processing the current copy job. The preset copy job will start automatically after the current job is completed.

Repeated copying of pictures

This new function can tile or copy images multiple times. The number of image copies depends on the size of the original image, the repetition rate, and the size of the copy paper.

Picture reverse copying

This new function can reverse the color of the copied image.

Image copy

This new function can be copied as a mirror image of the original image.

Image alternate copy

This new function can insert a blank sheet of paper between each copy job, which can easily distinguish each job.

Fax receiving file storage location

The storage location of received files has been added to the fax settings. Allows the user/administrator to choose to store the fax information in the fax memory or hard disk.

Fax Memory Transfer File Type Settings

This new feature allows the user/administrator to select the desired file format when transferring files in fax memory. The available file formats are TIFF, PDF and PDF/A.

Interactive interface - control optimization, personality improvement
Arabic language support added to the panel	You can select to switch to Arabic language on the operation panel.
Network port controls the paper feed tray	Each enabled network port can be configured with a corresponding paper tray.
Blank page is not displayed in the main interface	You can choose not to display blank pages on the main interface of the operation panel.
Mobile phone touch release print job	When using the lock print function, the user can directly use the NFC function of the phone to release the print job without entering the login password. (Note: Currently, only mobile devices with Android system are supported, and Apple IOS system cannot be used temporarily)
More detailed error code report	The new system has made a detailed explanation of the reasons for the print error code, such as: the print job was canceled due to timeout, the language does not support cancellation, and the system memory is insufficient.
More efficient scan addressing	The new system adds RFC4510/4511/4512/4513 and other file protocol support to the LDAP server, thus accelerating the success rate and efficiency of scanning and addressing.
Test report of duplex configuration page	When you want to print the configuration of the device, you can select duplex printing report to avoid paper waste.
High Compression Scan Document Type Settings	The scanning interface provides high compression ratio document output options in PDF and PDF/A. (Note: In black and white mode, JPEG format high compression document output function is not supported temporarily)
The display language of function key names can be reserved	When switching panel languages, personalized naming will also be automatically translated into new languages. To keep the customized language display content, select Don't change in the display language options.
The main interface automatically displays the information notification component	The information notification component is always displayed in the lower right corner of the main interface to get the latest software updates of Ricoh at the first time
Text printing function - post printing variety and color change
Automatically add a cover page to a copy	Select the<Cover>function in the<Post press Processing>option to automatically add a new blank cover/back cover to the copied document, or automatically copy the first or last page of the original document as the cover/back cover.
Automatically insert chapter pages for copies	Select the<Specify/Chapter>function in the<Post press Processing>option to automatically insert blank chapter pages into the copied document at the specified page number position, or add the copied page of the corresponding page number of the original document as the chapter page.
Replace the original color directly on the copy	Select the function "Convert Colors" in the option "Color Edit" to replace the 4 colors in the original with the specified colors.
To cover a copy with a color	Select the<Color Overlay>function in the<Color Edit>option to overlay a specified color on the copy.
Add Copy Break Mode	When one user is copying, another user can temporarily [interrupt] the copying job and execute a new copy operation.
Add magazine/booklet mode to the copy	Select the "Book" function in the "Post print processing" option to adjust the output order of each page of the copy to provide a more accessible page turning structure for magazines or pamphlets.
Customized size copying on the platen	When copying a manuscript on the glass table, you can select the function of Custom Size in the Original Setting. After the user can input X and Y coordinate values (the value is not less than 128mm) on the panel, the system will automatically identify the rectangular area covered by the coordinates and copy the image in the rectangular area.
Automatic Cancel Copy Operation for Overbinding	When copying a manuscript and selecting post press binding, the system will notify the user and automatically cancel the copying operation that exceeds the binding page limit to avoid paper waste.
Add Mixed Single and Double Sided Paper Format Settings	The [Mixed Single and Double Sided] function is added under the copying application, which can simplify the process of merging multiple original single and double sided copies. (Note: this setting is only applicable to IMC6500/IMC8000, IM7000/8000/9000 models)
Add Standalone Page Feature Options	The [Insert Interleaving] function is added under the copy application. (Note: this setting is only applicable to IMC6500/IMC8000, IM7000/8000/9000 models)
Automatically send communication records	Within the specified time interval, the system can automatically send each print log record to the administrator account by email.
Optimize fax settings	You can directly delete unnecessary fax senders in the fax receipt record.
Equipment management and control - remote login, batch modification
Rich remote control protocols and ports	New system adds encryption strength setting function and 10 remote control port protocols
User information can be changed remotely in batch	Through RISv3 login, users can remotely access and change account statistics information from a variety of terminal devices, including user name, login password, SNMP v3 account, etc.
Network security - enhanced encryption, rich authentication
Site credit error check	If the user forgets to register the site credit license, the device in the new system will start automatic check and tell the user how to set the credit license.
Encrypt point-to-point print job data	When locking printing or storing printing is used, users can set the encryption function in the printer driver to avoid malicious attacks from the network.
	(Note: 1 Users must download the driver supporting ACT1.2 from Ricoh's website. 2. Only for IMC6500/IMC8000 users, when there is no password input, a pop-up window will appear.)
Mail Server SSL Encryption Settings	Users can set SSL encrypted transport on the registered POP3 mail server on the device.
Password reset after scanning transmission	After the scanned document is successfully sent on the multi-function peripheral, the user can re-enter the scanning application to reset or modify the password for opening the electronic document.
Limit the display of error log information	The device administrator can control the invisible print error log through SP5-888-01 code.
Support SHA2 authentication algorithm	The device administrator can activate the SNMPv3 function to provide SHA2 authentication algorithm to meet the information security rules of the government and enterprises.
AirPrint user authentication and data traceability	With AirPrint enabled on mobile devices, device administrators can implement user authentication settings and print job tracking functions without reducing the network security level.
Log information clearing reminder	When the storage space for log information runs out, the system will display a notice on the banner of the operation panel or automatically send an email to the administrator. Print jobs will not be received until the storage space for log information is released.
Restrictions of certificates on multiple applications	The setting page of the old system allows you to select one credit certificate for each function, while the setting page of the new system requires that one credit certificate corresponds to one function that actually works.

Efficient search and timely response
LDAP interactive search performance enhancement	Let the address search results display up to 100 characters of complete content to avoid incorrect results caused by duplicate names or insufficient display of characters. The new system also supports synchronous search between the device address book and the LDAP server. In the dynamic search process, the new system can quickly respond to the instantaneous changes of search characters, making the search results accurate and fast.
Fax fault, efficient diagnosis
Classification improvement of fax error report	The new system provides a more detailed fax error report than in the past, allowing users to quickly find out the reason for the fax error report. At the same time, a "fax line is not connected" message is added to the original error report directory.
Fax transmission report format improvement	When a user wants to send a fax transmission report by e-mail on a multi machine, he can choose to send it in the most commonly used PDF format, so that the recipient can quickly preview it on the mobile device.
Firmware upgrade, secure transmission
Network service firmware upgrade	Users can update the firmware system in a more secure network service environment (HTTP or HTTPS).
Encryption protocol, security authentication
Support TLS1.3 encryption protocol	The new system supports TLS1.3 network encryption transmission protocol. Note: The device administrator is required to log in from the Web Image Monitor and activate the TLS1.3 protocol option.
Support Windows authentication login to SMTP server	Users can use Windows authentication as the authentication method of the SMTP server to improve security, and can effectively avoid the loss of mail after "scanning to mail", especially users using the Microsoft Exchange server mail server.

Operation interface
Intelligent operation interface of file server	The operation interface * of the "Document Server" has been optimized as a whole. Users can edit folders or documents in the "Document Server" application program, including creating or searching folders, changing folder names, adjusting print settings, etc. It is also connected with the function of intelligent copying/scanning/faxing and other applications to save paper documents to the target folder after electronic processing. *Note: The prompt message that the files on the "file server" will be automatically cleaned will be displayed at the bottom left of the operation interface
Intelligent file saving operation interface	When using intelligent copy/scan/fax and other applications, users can directly save documents to the device's hard disk and synchronously send them to the scan/fax destination or directly copy and output them.
Smart copy
New image quality adjustment function in Smart Copy application	In the process of using the intelligent copy application, the user can make personalized settings for the image quality details of the copy, such as: the contour depth of the image, the light and shade contrast of the image, and so on.
New scaling adjustment function in intelligent copy application	When using the intelligent copy application, the user can synchronously scale the image of the copy according to the original image scale, or set the scaling ratio for the length or width of the image.
Smart Copy Application Add Book Folio Copy	When using the intelligent copy application, the user can output the originals in the form of double faced folio like books. For example: if an A3 original is printed with two left and right pages of images (similar to the way a book is opened in the opposite direction), after using this function, the user will quickly obtain two A4 copies with one left and one right page of images respectively printed on the original.
Intelligent scanning
Customize the Naming Rules for Scanned Documents	Users can modify the naming rules of scanned documents. In the past, scanned electronic documents can only be named as "date&time", but the new application allows users to customize the naming rules of scanned documents by combining multiple field information. For example, the scanning file can name the host name, login account, date&time, and manually added text information in combination.
Smart Fax
Separation of fax job and print job	When the user is outputting a print job and a fax is received at the same time, you can choose whether to print the fax first or postpone the output as required* Priority setting can avoid mixed output of fax jobs and print jobs. *Note: This function needs to be set in SP mode.

About the performance improvement of network search scanning target folder address	When using the scan to folder function, the user can interrupt the system program that is performing the task of searching the specified folder address in the network, and manually enter the target folder. This avoids the problem that users have to wait for a long time for the system to automatically search for the timeout before continuing to modify the target address.
Encryption protocol, security authentication
Kerberos authentication settings scanned to folder applications	When using the scan to folder function, users can select the authentication level of SMB data transmission on demand in the background Web Image Monitor, including Kerberos Level4 with a higher security level
Data transmission settings of encrypted file server based on SMB protocol	When using the scan to folder function or fax job, users can encrypt SMB data transmission based on the file server.
Windows Authentication Settings Based on SMBv3.1.1 Protocol	Support SMB3.1.1 protocol for Microsoft authentication and data transmission to obtain a higher security level.

Support address book import/export function	When migrating address books or batch modifying address book contents, users can import/export address books in CSV format in the background of Web Image Monitor. Simplify user operation steps and save time.
Security
HTTP Strict Transport Security Settings	Users can enable/disable HSTS or modify the validity period of HSTS according to their own network communication needs in the background of Web Image Monitor.
Setting to disable printing PS/PDF files	When the PS/PDF file has the risk of containing malware or viruses, the administrator can set to prohibit printing the PS/PDF file, which is applicable to enterprise users with NIST800-171 security standard requirements.
Allow data transmission using WIFI direct connection when access control is enabled	The administrator can set that after the device access control is enabled, the user is still allowed to use the WIFI connection of Cheetah interface to transmit data for printing and other operations, which is applicable to the printing of visitors in the public places such as libraries or schools where the administrator enables access control.

Security
Hide characters when entering password	Users can choose to hide characters when entering passwords on the control panel to improve security by reducing the risk of password disclosure.

Avoid fax output to wrong address	Before sending a fax, the screen will display the address input again for the user to confirm, so as to prevent selecting the wrong fax destination.
Display thumbnails in quick print function	Thumbnails are displayed in the quick print function, so that users can visually identify and compare with other stored files to prevent wrong files from printing.
PC identification of P1 command error source	When P1 error prompt appears, the user can check the error log to find out which computer is causing the problem and reduce the troubleshooting time.
Centralized management of settings when receiving faxes	For fax settings, a new page allows administrators to check various settings related to receiving in fax settings, so as to realize centralized management and improve operation convenience.
Duplex printing when setting list from device printing interface	Previously, when the user printed the interface setting list, only one side printing was possible. Now, the user can select double-sided output to save paper.
Cleaning mode of operation panel	When cleaning the operation panel, the user can switch the control panel to "cleaning mode". The screen will darken after opening, and the operation can be disabled for 20 seconds, avoiding the problem of pressing the screen by mistake during cleaning.
Fax parameter setting UI update	Previously, it was difficult for users to find out where to change the transmission interval settings. Now, fax settings can support the retransmission interval of memory transmission, backup transmission, and folder transmission.
