TEXTILE FASHION 2024, June 10~June 12, 2024, Algeria - Algiers - Palais des expositions Pins Maritime Alger 16000, Algiers, Algeria - Algiers Exhibition Center, sponsored by the Algerian Textile Association, held once a year, with an exhibition area of 20000 square meters, 20000 visitors, 300 exhibitors and brands.
Algeria, with a population of 32.08 million, is the second largest country in Africa in terms of economy and population after South Africa. It has a certain capacity of textile and clothing consumption market. Apart from a small number of textile products and national clothing produced domestically, Algeria mainly relies on imports. Textiles and clothing are the main products of China's exports to Afghanistan, which occupy an important position in the import market of Afghanistan. In recent years, the export growth rate is very large. According to the 2013 report of the Bureau of Economic and Commercial Affairs of the US State Department, Algeria is an "emerging" market, with a "stable" business environment and a "promising" market, which provides many opportunities for foreign investors. According to the statistics of the Algerian National Bureau of Statistics, from 2000 to 2011, the gross national product of Algeria increased from 54.8 billion US dollars to 1988 billion US dollars, nearly tripling in ten years. The per capita GDP increased from 4496.4 US dollars in 2010 to 5413.8 US dollars in 2011, of which the increase in household consumption played a positive role in driving the GDP growth. The latest report of the African Development Bank forecasts the economic prospects of Africa, which is expected to grow by 5.3% in 2014. The report pointed out that "Afghanistan's oil revenue has brought a large amount of foreign exchange reserves, which has great potential for economic growth."
Algeria has always maintained friendly and cooperative relations with China. Over the years, bilateral trade between the two countries has continued to develop. Algeria has increasingly become a new hotspot in China's product exports. Afghanistan ranks among the top ten countries in the world in terms of oil and gas production, and is one of the richest countries in North Africa. It has strong foreign exchange payment capacity and good credit standing.
China's textile industry has a relatively complete industrial chain and rich experience. Algeria has a certain textile industry foundation, and has a relatively strong market demand and a relatively convenient export trade environment. China and Algeria have broad space for cooperation and development in the field of clothing and textile. As a new market, entering the Algerian market has become the preferred target of many foreign trade enterprises.
