Reporters learned from the ARATS on the 19th that according to the terms of the agreement's entry into force, the ARATS and the Taiwan Straits Foundation sent letters to each other on the same day, confirming that the three agreements signed at the fourth meeting of the two sessions would come into force on March 21, 2010.
On December 22, 2009, the ARATS and the SEF held their fourth meeting in Taichung and signed three agreements, namely, the Cross Strait Cooperation Agreement on Quarantine and Inspection of Agricultural Products, the Cross Strait Cooperation Agreement on Standard Metrological Inspection and Certification, and the Cross Strait Cooperation Agreement on Labor Services for Fishing Boat Crew. According to the terms of the agreement, the three agreements shall come into force upon completion of relevant preparations from the date of signing, which shall not exceed 90 days at the latest.
