On March 23, the Affiliated Hospital of Putian University, together with Licheng District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, carried out a health free clinic and TCM culture promotion activity of "Caring for Bones, Living a Happy Life", to popularize bone health knowledge for community residents and spread the concept of healthy life.

During the activity, the expert team from the Department of Osteoarthritis and Sports Medicine of the Affiliated Hospital of Putian University focused on bone disease prevention and daily health care to patiently diagnose, treat and answer questions for the masses. Nursing volunteers measure blood pressure and blood sugar for the elderly, distribute popular science leaflets of bone diseases, remind residents to get out of the misunderstanding of joint diseases, change bad living habits and exercise patterns, develop healthy living habits, and achieve early prevention, early detection and early treatment of diseases.

For people with joint pain, shoulder pain, low back pain, osteoporosis, etc., we will provide free musculoskeletal ultrasound, bone density, X-ray and other examinations on site. On the same day, a science popularization and health education was also held. While popularizing orthopedic health knowledge, this activity also improved the self-care awareness of community residents, opened up the "last mile" for grassroots people to seek medical treatment, and enabled people to enjoy high-quality and convenient medical services at their doorsteps.

Recently, the party branch of the Medical Imaging Department of the Affiliated Hospital of Putian University, in conjunction with the party branch of the Ultrasound Department, the party branch of the Pathological Function Examination Department, and the second party branch of the Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine Department, organized nearly 30 medical and nursing staff to Qianming Village, Sanjiangkou Town, Hanjiang District, to carry out health free clinic activities (as shown in the picture).

During the activity, experts provided health guidance, physical examination and sign analysis for villagers, and put forward corresponding personalized diagnosis and treatment suggestions. The medical staff also provided free blood pressure and blood glucose monitoring, color Doppler ultrasound, electrocardiogram and other examinations for villagers. In addition, a free home appliance maintenance area was set up on the site to repair faulty home appliances for the villagers free of charge, which solved their practical problems in life and was well received by the villagers.

Weng Zhicheng, secretary of the Party branch of the Medical Imaging Department of the Affiliated Hospital of Putian University, introduced that in the early stage of the activity, the four Party branch committees met for many times to discuss and carefully plan the plan. Organize personnel to prepare in advance, investigate the local disease occurrence category and key cases in advance, and collect experts to participate in multi-disciplinary consultation and multi equipment joint diagnosis and treatment according to needs, so that local personnel can arrange patients who need to be interviewed in advance, so that everyone can consult and participate in the free clinic site, so that the activity process can be carried out in a tight and orderly manner.

"Through the preliminary research, most of the local villagers are working under the sea. Because of the humid living environment and too much seafood, most of the villagers suffer from rheumatism, arthritis, ventilation, thyroid and other diseases." Weng Zhicheng said that during the free clinic, experts specially carried disinfectant, anti-inflammatory and pain relieving cream and other medicines, which were distributed to the villagers free of charge on site.

It is reported that this activity has completed more than 100 patient diagnosis and treatment services. Among them, one patient with subacute combined spinal cord degeneration, two patients with hyperglycemia and three patients with severe hypertension were found in the first diagnosis. For the above special patients, experts gave professional guidance and suggestions.
