Shaanxi Internet joint rumor dispelling platform

On May 19, 2024, the police of the Internet Security Brigade of Xi'an Chanba Branch found that an Internet user had posted a video on a video platform with a chat record saying: "The urban management enforcement of the Houhai viewing platform forced vendors to commit suicide by jumping into the river, and the urban management ran away.". Once the video was released, it quickly triggered heated discussion among netizens, causing adverse social impact.

After verification, the video content is that the urban management staff carried out law enforcement activities, and there was no act of forcing vendors, not to mention "street vendors jumped into the river to commit suicide and ran away from the urban management".

After examination, the video publisher Liu Moumou, out of dissatisfaction with the urban management law enforcement, shot the on-site video of urban management law enforcement, maliciously edited it, and released the rumor information on the Internet platform in order to vent his personal feelings and attract attention. Liu Moumou confessed to his illegal facts.

At present, Chanba Branch of Xi'an Public Security Bureau has ordered Liu to delete related rumor videos and conduct educational criticism.

Network alarm prompt

Urban management and law enforcement is a specific means of urban management. It should be standardized, fair and civilized. All sectors of society are welcome to supervise urban management impartially and objectively. However, in places where the Internet is illegal, it is natural to assume legal responsibility to use the Internet to publish rumors. The vast number of netizens should keep rational thinking, and not fabricate, believe or spread rumors, The public security organs will crack down on the fabrication of online rumors in accordance with the law.
