A woman in Lingyun County, Baise City, Guangxi Province, was recently defrauded by fraudsters in the form of "scalping rebate". With the patient dissuasion of the police, the woman stopped the transfer and recovered a loss of 255000 yuan.

At the time of the incident, the Public Security Bureau of Lingyun County, Guangxi, received an early warning notice from the big data platform of the National Anti Fraud Center that a woman in Lingyun District transferred RMB 100000 to others, which was at risk of being defrauded.

Lingyun County police immediately contacted Ms. Meng who carried out the transfer. According to Ms. Meng, recently, she received a strange express delivery, in which a leaflet said that she could receive benefits such as a brand of soy milk machine and cash red packets for free by scanning the code. So, she scanned the QR code according to the "Guide" on the leaflet and added "customer service", and under her guidance, she did three tasks to obtain a rebate of tens of yuan.

Later, the "customer service" asked Ms. Meng to download an app called "Mango" and transfer 5000 yuan and 100000 yuan to purchase the task of cash back. When she was about to transfer 150000 yuan again, the police rushed to the scene in time.

Shi Chuanyu, a police officer from Sicheng Police Station of Lingyun County Public Security Bureau, made the bank card stop payment procedure at the first time, successfully frozen the 105000 yuan transferred by Ms. Meng in the first-class card account involved in the case, and successfully stopped Ms. Meng from transferring another 150000 yuan.

With the patient explanation of the police, Ms. Meng believed that this was a fraud.

If you are cheated, please do not panic. Call 110 as soon as possible to report to the police, and clarify key information such as identity information, fraud account number and funds, so that the police can stop payment and freeze them as soon as possible.
