Hello， My name is Chelsea, and I'm from Zhuhai. Every girl probably had a dream about dancing when she was a child, and so did I. This dream has been chasing for six years. I was born in Zhuhai. In order to get more opportunities to practice dancing, I went to the High School Attached to Beijing Dance Academy to study at a young age. The way of dancing is bound to be hard. Professional practice day after day puts me under great pressure in my studies. I am very resistant to learning English because my English is not good, which ultimately leads to my unsatisfactory English performance in the college entrance examination.

After the college entrance examination, I stood at the crossroads of life - whether to stay at home or go overseas for further study? In the end, I chose to study abroad. If you choose to go abroad, how can you solve the problem of poor English? Following the introduction of my friends around me, I decided to come to Pinghe English Village with a try mentality.

I'm just a chatterbox in my daily life. Since it is impossible to stop talking, speak in English if you want to! In this way, I started to speak English even though I didn't speak English before, and gradually I got used to the "English Only" learning environment here. The teacher thinks my English is very logical, but some grammar problems need to be strengthened.

I feel that I can not only improve my spoken English rapidly here, but also learn about the real state and culture of many foreign countries through teachers from different countries, paving the way for my future study abroad. For example, in an elective course, the teacher told many things that Chinese students should pay attention to when studying in California, which also gave them a preliminary understanding of the life of studying in the United States.

After six weeks of study, my English has improved significantly, and the 32 week language class that I was originally expected to enroll in Kaplan after going abroad has also been shortened to only 8 weeks, which is an unexpected gain I never imagined before. When I left, I was very reluctant and liked the environment here. I hope I can return to study here again when I have the opportunity.

The decision to study in the United States has opened a new way of life. As a dance art student, I have always been surrounded by dance. Now I am a junior majoring in finance. Next semester, I plan to further study administrative management courses. My favorite sentence is: "Don't wait for your wish to become a regret". Even in the United States, I will never miss any opportunity to learn. I am the most active speaker in the study group; Among a group of Chinese students, I always take the initiative to find a small partner to practice oral English together.

In the summer vacation of 2016, I came back again. But this time I returned to Pinghe as a volunteer instead of being a student. I love the peaceful English atmosphere very much. Whenever I see so many struggling figures of Pinghe, I always remind myself that I need to work harder and can do better. The harder you work, the luckier you will be.
