Hometown of Medicine King

Sunyuan Village, Yaozhou District, Tongchuan, is the hometown of Sun Simiao, the king of medicine. Yaowang Mountain, a medical hermit, is a national key cultural relics protection unit, a national 4A tourist attraction, and a national base for TCM culture publicity and education. "Yaowang Mountain Temple Fair" is a national intangible cultural heritage. The "Chinese Sun Simiao Traditional Chinese Medicine Cultural Festival" approved by the State Council has been successfully held for three times.

 

 

The holy land of Buddhism

Tongchuan is rich in Buddhist cultural relics. Yuhua Temple is the place where the eminent monk Xuanzang of the Tang Dynasty translated scriptures, promoted Buddhism and passed away. Xuanzang founded the Buddhism Wisdom Only Sect here, and translated the Great Prajna Paramita Sutra and the Yogi Master Earth Theory. Daxiangshan Temple has a long history of Buddhist culture. Its temple fairs have lasted for more than 1000 years, and incense has been flourishing up to now.

 

 

Thousand year porcelain

Yaozhou celadon is the representative of celadon in northern China because it is "as skillful as gold, and better than jade". "Shili Kiln" Yaozhou Kiln Site is the largest ancient kiln site found in China so far. Yaozhou Kiln Museum is the largest museum of ancient ceramic sites in China at present. Chenlu Ancient Town, which has been burning for more than 1400 years, is known as "the living fossil of ancient ceramic production in the East".

 

 

 

 

Red gold

Zhaojin Town in the west of Yaozhou District is the revolutionary base of Zhaojin in Shaanxi Gansu border area founded by Liu Zhidan, Xie Zichang, Xi Zhongxun and other older revolutionaries in the early 1930s. It is also the earliest mountain revolutionary base in northwest China. Now it is one of the 100 classic red tourism scenic spots in China and a national 4A tourist attraction.
