Northeast Shouyi
Before the third century BC, there were countless tribal settlements of different sizes scattered like stars between the vast Northeast Great Plain, the Great Khingan Mountains and the Changbai Mountains, and some large settlements had taken the shape of early cities. At the end of the Warring States Period, the State of Yan expanded eastward and set up two prefectures in the northeast, Liaoxi and Liaodong, becoming the earliest city in the northeast. However, the premature death of Liaoxi County soon made Xiangping, the county city of Liaodong, the "first city in the Northeast". Liaoyang has won this reputation for more than 2300 years.
Four Dynasties Old Beijing
The smoke that covered the sky when the Qin Dynasty swept Liuhe was filled with the sky of Yan. The defeated monarch and his officials chose to move their capital to Xiangping until four years later when the national throne ceased. More than a thousand years later, the Liao State and the Jin State rose one after another and implemented the five capital system throughout the country. Liaoyang became one of the capitals of the two dynasties - Tokyo. Nearly four hundred years after the demise of the Jin State, Nuerhachi, the leader of the Jurchen Empire, integrated all the ministries, swept Liaodong, and moved the capital of the Later Jin (Qing) State to Liaoyang, which eventually became the old capital of the four dynasties in Chinese history.
