　　 How can I quickly partition a disk using the Partition Assistant?

The quick partition function of the partition assistant is used to quickly re partition disks. It can run well in PC, server and PE systems. For new Hard disk partition , or repartition a hard disk that already has a partition. The user can specify the size, type, volume label and other contents of each partition. Only a handful of operations can be completed to partition and format the hard disk. If you do not change the default partition number, type, size and other settings, open the Quick Partition dialog box and press OK to complete the disk re partition and format operations.

To start this function, click the "Quick Partition" icon in the toolbar above the Partition Assistant interface. The quick partition window is shown as follows:

The specific steps are as follows:

　　 1. Select a disk

Operation is as shown in the figure:

You can select the disk you want to partition quickly at the location indicated by the arrow in the figure above. In the Windows environment, the Partition Assistant does not support direct re partitioning of the current system disk. It is recommended to create a partition assistant bootable disk first, and then boot from the bootable disk to quickly partition the system disk.

At the same time, please note that if partitions already exist on the disk, all partitions on the disk will be deleted after the quick partition operation..

　　 2. Number of partitions

Under Select Disk, select the number of partitions you want to partition.

Operation method:

You can press keys 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 to quickly select the number of partitions.

It can also be operated by clicking the mouse.

After selection, the right half of the dialog box will immediately display the corresponding number of partition lists.

　 3. Disk type

Select the MBR disk type or GPT disk type in this panel, and decide whether to check "Rebuild MBR for this disk", and select which sector the partition is aligned to.

MBR disks: MBR disks support a maximum of 2TB. If the MBR format is selected for disks larger than 2TB, the disk capacity will be wasted. It is recommended to select the GPT format.

GPT disk: For a disk larger than 2TB or a disk to which you need to install a system and boot using UEFI mode, it is recommended to select GPT format.

Rebuild MBR for this disk: If there is an MBR based boot management program on the disk, and you still need to keep it, please do not check this option.

Partition alignment: Generally, solid state disk (SSD) can be aligned with 4K, that is, 8 sectors. This item has little impact on the mechanical hard disk, so it can be unchecked.

　　 4. Partition parameters

"Partition Parameters" displays the basic parameters of each partition, including partition type, size, volume label, and whether it is a primary partition.

The software will automatically set a default value for each partition size according to the size of the hard disk. You can also enter values to set the size of each partition. After clicking "Default Size", it will automatically restore to the default size/ li>

Adjust partition file system

You can select NTFS and FAT32 file systems. FAT32 does not support partitions larger than 2TB, nor does it support storing single files larger than 4GB, but FAT32 has better compatibility. NTFS has higher stability and security. It supports partitions larger than 2TB and single files larger than 4GB. In general, it is recommended that you select an NTFS file system.

Adjust volume label

The software sets a default volume label for each partition, which users can select or change by themselves, or click the "Remove All Volume Labels" button to remove the volume labels of all partitions and then set their own volume labels.

Determines whether the volume is a primary partition

If the volume is determined to be the primary partition, check "Primary Partition"; Otherwise, uncheck. If you create 4 partitions on the MBR disk, you can set all 4 partitions as primary partitions. If you create more than 4 partitions, you can set up at most 3 partitions as primary partitions. If you select GPT disk, this item is not selectable because there is no concept of primary logical partition for GPT disk, and all partitions created are "primary" partitions by default.

After setting, you can visually view the partition of the disk after fast partitioning in the preview window below. Click the "Start Execution" button to realize one click fast partitioning. If a partition already exists on the disk, a confirmation dialog box will pop up (if there is no partition on the disk, this dialog box will not pop up), as shown in the following figure:

Click Yes to continue or No to cancel.

　 5. Preset

For users who often need to partition their hard disks, you can check the "Directly enter the fast partition window when starting the software next time" option above the preset, so that each time you start the software, you can directly enter the fast partition window. At the same time, click the preset button to preset the number and size of hard disk partitions. This makes it convenient to partition multiple hard disks of the same type. The installers who often need to partition the hard disk can save the number and size of hard disk partitions by preset values, and can directly use the saved settings when using fast partitions to partition the hard disk next time.

The preset interface is shown in the following figure:

Presets is used to change the default settings for the Quick Zone feature. In the left column, you can set the number of partitions. For example, if you enable presetting and select "6 partitions", the number of partitions in the Quick Partition panel is 6 by default. In the right column, you can set the size of the first five partitions, and the size of the last partition is the remaining disk capacity. You can also set the size only for some partitions, and keep the default settings for other partitions.

The "Remove All Partition Labels" function is used to remove the default volume labels of each partition. For example: system, software, documents, etc. If you check "Remove all partition labels", the partition assistant will not preset the labels for you. You can set the labels yourself.

After setting, click "Save Settings". The system will save the preset settings. The preset configuration file is saved in the installation directory of the partition assistant. If it is operated through a bootable disk, the configuration file is saved in the root directory of the bootable disk (USB flash disk).

Note: When presetting is used, the size of the last partition is automatic, and you cannot specify a fixed size. For example, if three partitions are created by presetting, the first and second partitions can specify a specific size, and the third partition can only be automatic.

There is one on the right of the preset button. Click this button to enter the compact mode window of the quick partition, as shown in the figure below. The compact mode looks cleaner and cleaner:

In thin mode, you can select the hard disk to partition, the number of partitions, partition size, file system, and volume label. Other settings remain in the default state. At the same time, you can also click the icon to preset. To restore to full mode, click the corresponding icon again.
