Part III Writing
This part consists of sections A and B, which mainly tests the examinee's written expression ability. 30 points in total.
Section A: examinees write about 100 words (punctuation marks are not included) of practical essays according to the given situation, including personal and official letters, memoranda, reports, etc. A total of 10 points.
Section B: The examinee writes a 160-200 word essay according to the prompt information (punctuation marks are not included). The form of prompt information includes topic sentence, writing outline, specified situation, diagram, table, etc. A total of 20 points.
The language skills that examinees should be able to master include listening, speaking, reading and writing. However, since listening and speaking skills are tested in the second interview, only reading and writing skills are listed here.
It refers to the discourse mode adopted in written and oral expression according to different communication objects, namely formal, general and informal discourse.
The entrance examination for postgraduate students takes the English Chinese translation test questions as a part of reading comprehension. Its purpose is to test the ability of examinees to accurately understand concepts or complex structures according to the context and correctly express them in Chinese.
