Xi Jinping Sends Congratulatory Message to Vietnam's New President Su Lin

Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, May 22 On May 22, President Xi Jinping sent a message to Su Lin to congratulate him on his assumption of the presidency of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Xi Jinping pointed out that China and Vietnam are friendly socialist neighbors linked by mountains and rivers. Last year I paid a state visit to Vietnam, and jointly announced with General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong the establishment of a strategic China Vietnam community of common destiny, opening a new chapter in the relations between the two parties and two countries. I am glad to see that all departments and regions of the two countries are stepping up efforts to promote the building of a China Vietnam community of shared future and making positive progress. I attach great importance to the development of China Vietnam relations, and am willing to work with the President to maintain strategic communication, lead the building of a community of shared future between China and Vietnam to go deeper and more practical, and bring more benefits to the two peoples.
