Nanning Cloud - Nanning Daily (reporter Huang Hongjin, correspondent Zhang Shaofeng) On November 4, the 2021 Nanning Workers' Vocational Skills Competition Chinese Pasteur Competition was held. More than 30 players from all counties (cities, districts), development zones and municipal grassroots trade unions in our city who love to make Chinese pastries, front-line technical backbones in the industry, and skilled talents in well-known catering enterprises gathered together to learn skills and communicate with each other.

The Chinese pastry contest was hosted by the Nanning Workers' Vocational Skills Competition Organizing Committee and organized by the Nanning Federation of Trade Unions. The competition lasts for one day and is divided into two parts: theoretical knowledge competition and on-site skill practice competition. In the on-site skill practice competition, the contestants need to complete the production of basic skill works, specified works and optional works within the specified time.

"The competition begins!" With the order of the Chief Judge, the skill practical operation assessment officially began. The contestants are full of energy and show their skills. They mix noodles, roll skins, and mix fillings in an orderly manner. One by one, exquisite works are shaped in their hands. Within 160 minutes, the contestants have completed the production of fermented dough tucked buns, pastries and other works, demonstrating their superb skills. Among the self selected works, there are a variety of pictographic works, such as "horseshoe", "goldfish", "pumpkin" and "eggplant", which are perfectly made. The referee team assesses the basic skills and creative ability of the contestants from five aspects: taste and texture, technology and heat, shape and color, nutrition and health, and creativity.

"I learned a lot from my peers through the competition today, and I feel that my skills in making Chinese style pastries have improved a lot," said Luo Ting, a contestant.

It is reported that in this year's Chinese style bakery competition of the district workers' vocational skills competition, three players of the Nanning representative team won the first three places. "The purpose of holding this competition is to build a space for Chinese pastry practitioners to display their talents, a platform for learning and exchange, and create good conditions for mining and cultivating highly skilled talents and promoting the innovative development of the Chinese pastry industry in our city." said the relevant person in charge of the Nanning Federation of Trade Unions.
