Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), General Secretary Xi Jinping has made two in-depth visits to Anhui Province, emphasizing new development concepts, charting new development patterns, and promoting major national strategies. Jianghuai has left his footprints of traveling across mountains and rivers to visit the poor and seek for "the greatest man in the country". Bearing in mind the General Secretary's instructions, Ma Gangren seized the opportunity of Yangtze River Delta integration to achieve a historical breakthrough of revenue exceeding 100 billion yuan and profit exceeding 10 billion yuan in 2021. In the integration and development of the Yangtze River Delta, we are constantly strengthening ourselves and making our own contributions to the integration and development of the Yangtze River Delta. Anhui is also actively "chaining" into the Yangtze River Delta, giving full play to AI technology and industrial advantages, taking the lead in establishing the Yangtze River Delta AI Industry Chain Alliance, accelerating the construction of the Yangtze River Delta Industrial Internet Integration Development Demonstration Zone, and building the Yangtze River Delta High value-added green agricultural product production, processing and supply base. By 2021, more than 40 billion yuan of high-quality agricultural products will be on the table of Shanghai, Jiangsu and Zhejiang residents.

Innovation is a key word frequently mentioned by General Secretary Xi Jinping during his two visits to Anhui, and it is also the first driving force to achieve high-quality development.

In April 2016, General Secretary Xi Jinping entered the University of Science and Technology of China and the Advanced Technology Research Institute of the University of Science and Technology of China; In August 2020, he came to Anhui Innovation Museum. Anchoring the community of scientific and technological innovation, Anhui constantly deepens the "simultaneous innovation" of Shanghai Zhangjiang and Anhui Hefei comprehensive national science centers, and speeds up the construction of the Yangtze River Delta G60 science and innovation corridor. As a major agricultural province, Anhui has a large rural population, and once had Dabie Mountains concentrated in contiguous poverty-stricken areas and counties. It was once the main battlefield for poverty alleviation. The General Secretary is concerned about the villagers here.

On the first day of his visit to Anhui in 2016, General Secretary Xi Jinping traveled all the way to Dawan Village, Huashi Township, Jinzhai County, the hinterland of the Dabie Mountains, and went to the homes of poor families to understand the real situation of poverty alleviation in rural areas, especially in old revolutionary base areas. To build a moderately prosperous society in an all-round way, the General Secretary encouraged everyone to "do a good job in poverty alleviation and fulfill their commitments to the people through action."

Chen Zeshen, a villager, clearly remembered that General Secretary Xi Jinping was sitting beside him in his own yard, "setting priorities" for poverty alleviation in the village. In order to realize the harmonious coexistence of people and water, Anhui has listed building a clean water, green industry, beautiful Yangtze River (Anhui) economic belt as the "No. 1 project" of ecological civilization construction. In 2021, the proportion of good water quality sections in Anhui section of the Yangtze River basin will be 92.7%, reaching the best level since monitoring; A special organization was established to exercise the responsibility of comprehensive management of the Chaohu Lake basin, and 52 rivers and tributaries entering the lake were treated; 39 billion yuan was invested in the comprehensive treatment of Chaohu Lake, the construction of "ten wetlands" around Chaohu Lake, and comprehensive ecological restoration.

Nowadays, Anhui has shown its ecological advantages and good momentum of high-quality development.

In 2021, Anhui's total economic output will exceed 4 trillion yuan, leaping to a new level.
