On February 18, Asustek United Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Asustek, Taiwan, signed a contract with the Administrative Committee of Kunshan Development Zone to invest in the establishment of Asustek Electronics (Kunshan) Co., Ltd. The registered capital of the company is US $49 million, with a total investment of US $147 million in the first phase.

Shishuo is mainly engaged in the production, assembly, maintenance, design, R&D and sales of complete machines and related supporting electronic parts of high-tech electronic information products such as notebook computers, tablet computers, networks and communications, and mainly produces electronic products for Apple. It is understood that Taiwan Hollian received orders from Apple for heavyweight products last year, becoming the most important partner of Apple outside Hon Hai. Hollian's future operational explosive power is generally expected by the industry. In response to the demand for medium - and long-term production expansion, Hollian's "apple eating" layout in Kunshan aims to build its fourth production base in addition to Shanghai, Suzhou and Chongqing. It is understood that the base will not build its own plant. It is expected that the first phase of the transformation plant will be officially put into production in June this year, and the annual output value will reach 15 billion yuan one year after it is put into production.
