Yesterday (August 9) morning, the first product of the sixth generation TFT-LTPS LCD panel line of Youda Optoelectronics (Kunshan) Co., Ltd. was successfully lit up. This production line is currently the third in the world and the first in the country with mass production capacity of the highest generation low-temperature polysilicon LCD production line. Mass production began in the fourth quarter of this year. Yao Linrong, Deputy Mayor of Suzhou and Secretary of Kunshan Municipal Party Committee, Du Xiaogang, Deputy Secretary of Kunshan Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, Chen Chenyang, Member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Kunshan Development Zone, Peng Shuanglang, Chairman and CEO of Youda Optoelectronics Co., Ltd., attended the lighting ceremony and pressed the start button for the first piece of the TFT-LTPS project (see the above figure).

Youda Optoelectronics Kunshan Project, located in the Optoelectronics Industrial Park of Kunshan Development Zone, was originally a 8.5 generation TFT-LCD panel production line project. In November 2014, based on the development trend of LCD panel industry, with the approval of the Provincial Development and Reform Commission, this production line was adjusted to the sixth generation of low-temperature polysilicon thin film transistor LCD panel production line. The total investment of the project is more than 3 billion dollars. The new production line after the change can produce LTPS LCD panels for 100 million smartphones annually, with an annual output value of about 11.9 billion yuan, three times the output value of the original 8.5 generation line, which will greatly improve the self-sufficiency rate of the domestic high-end panel market.

Peng Shuanglang told the reporter that the Kunshan project of Youda Optoelectronics has achieved three innovations: first, it has a leading one-stop production advantage, and will rely on Youda Optoelectronics' mature mass production experience and years of research and development strength to help customers develop products at the fastest speed; Second, it only took more than four months from the installation of the first batch of production equipment to the successful lighting of the first panel, creating the fastest mass production record in the industry; Third, the project has gathered more than 400 technicians from Taiwan and the mainland, who have demonstrated a high degree of execution in the project construction. The whole project will be constructed in two phases, of which the production scale of the first phase is 25000 pieces/month, and the production scale of the second phase is 35000 pieces/month.

In recent years, Kunshan has continued to accelerate the agglomeration and high-end development of the photoelectric industry, forming a complete industrial chain, and gathering many leading enterprises in the photoelectric industry, such as Guoxian, Longteng, Asahi, Qimei, Konka, etc. The commissioning and operation of Youda Optoelectronics Kunshan Project will further drive the rapid development of Kunshan Optoelectronics industry, and inject new momentum into the technological upgrading, expansion and strengthening of the photoelectric industry.
