        The Y2SS3-EC closed-loop bus stepping driver, a blockbuster product of Kaifu Technology, perfectly integrates the closed-loop control technology into the stepping motor, and greatly expands the functions of EtherCAT, with new excellent performance and wide application fields. Y2SS3-EC is a high-performance bus controlled closed-loop stepping motor driver. The driver has a built-in EtherCAT communication protocol, which can be used as a standard EtherCAT slave, supporting CANopen over EtherCAT (CoE); At the same time, it can also be used with a variety of closed-loop stepper motors of different sizes.

Y2SS3-EC dual port RJ-45 connector is an interface conforming to 100BASE-TX (100Mbps) and can be connected with standard network cable. Please use CAT5 or CAT5e (or higher) network cable. The Ethernet input interface IN is connected to the Ethernet output interface OUT of the controller or the previous driver on the bus. The Ethernet output interface OUT is connected to the Ethernet input interface IN of the next driver on the bus. If the drive is the last node on the bus, only connect the Ethernet input interface IN. Terminal matching resistors are not required.

    Y2SS3-EC supports synchronous mode and asynchronous mode EtherCAT control mode. In synchronous motion mode, the master station makes track planning and outputs periodic commands. The driver receives planning commands from the master station according to the synchronous cycle, which is suitable for multi axis synchronous motion. Y2SS3-EC synchronous motion mode supports cyclic synchronous position mode (CSP). In the cyclic synchronous position mode (CSP), the trajectory planning is completed at the master station. According to the synchronization period, the master station receives the position information sent by the master station, and immediately transmits the position information to the driver when the synchronization signal arrives. The synchronization period supported by Y2SS3-EC is; 1000 us, 2000 us, 4000 us。

2、 Selection of power supply:


     The power supply voltage of the driver can work normally within the specified range. If you need the motor to achieve better high-speed performance, you need to increase the power supply voltage of the driver.


The power supply current is generally determined according to the output phase current of the driver. Generally, the power supply current of the driver can be 1.1~1.3 times of the output current of the driver.


At the same time, the input current of the power supply is also related to the speed and load of the motor during operation. Therefore, for specific applications, users need to carry out specific analysis and estimation.


3、 Selection of motor:


     Y2SS3-EC can output 7A current at most, and can adapt to two-phase DC stepping motors with flange sizes of 86 and below.         

  

Y2SS3-EC has an integrated open and closed loop feature, and both open loop and closed loop stepper motors are compatible.

*It is recommended to install it vertically on the side to form strong air convection for the cooling teeth: when necessary, install a fan near the driver to force heat dissipation, so as to ensure that the driver works within the reliable operating temperature range.

1、 Superior performance:


① Thanks to the advanced high-end servo synchronization technology, it is easy to realize 100 multi axis synchronization control in a 2ms loop cycle;

② Reduction of motor heating Y2SS3-EC closed-loop adopts modeling equivalent technology to realize automatic adjustment of current amplitude under stepping mode, reduce heating, and realize high-speed and fast response of position loop to maintain the rigidity of the original open-loop stepping driver.

③ Under the same current condition of lifting motor torque and lifting control response time Y2SS3-EC, the motor torque is generally increased by 5% - 10%, and the control response time is increased by 30%. Within the rated load range, almost one encoder pulse control accuracy can be achieved.


2、 Strong adaptability:


① The built-in virtual button selects the motor parameters. After selection, it can operate almost without adjusting the parameters, and the parameter adjustment is simple.

② Y2SS3-EC has developed the real-time synchronous adjustment technology of control loop and ECAT high-precision clock owned by high-end servo, which can adapt to almost all controllers on the market. The built-in interpolation time is automatically detected and adjusted, and it can operate in parallel almost without manual adjustment.
