Jiaxing First Hospital, formerly known as the Catholic Sacred Heart Hospital founded in 1920, is a church hospital run by the French Catholic Charity Society of Paris in Jiaxing Charity Hall.

In September 1951, Jiaxing Municipal People's Government took over Sacred Heart Hospital.

In September 1952, it was merged with the medical office of Jiaxing Municipal People's Government and renamed Jiaxing Municipal Hospital.

In November 1954, it was renamed Jiaxing First Hospital.

In September 1989, it became the Teaching Hospital of Zhejiang Medical University.

In September 1992, the clinical part of Jiaxing Schistosomiasis Prevention and Control Institute and Jiaxing Tuberculosis Prevention and Control Institute was incorporated into Jiaxing First Hospital.

In 2001, it became the First Affiliated Hospital of Jiaxing University.

In August 2019, it became a hospital directly affiliated to Jiaxing University.

In January 2024, the hospital was renamed as the Affiliated Hospital of Jiaxing University (Jiaxing First Hospital).

　　

The old building of Sacred Heart Hospital was later transformed into a cadre ward and a pediatric ward, which were demolished in May 1997. In the distance is the French Catholic Cathedral, which was one of the three cathedrals in the Far East when it was built.

 Before liberation, the orphan squad of Ren'ai Hall was transformed into the ward of the fifth ward of internal medicine, and the short room next to it was a temporary X-ray room.

In the 1950s and 1960s, Jiaxing First Hospital was an important clinical base for schistosomiasis control in China. The picture shows Zhou Xuezhang, a well-known domestic expert in schistosomiasis control and the former president of Jiaxing First Hospital, checking the patient's condition in the ward.

 Western medicine storehouses and ward laboratories in the 1970s and 1980s were demolished in 1990 when the imaging building was built.

It was built in 1915, and was formerly known as ""?? After 1952, the canteen and dormitories were changed into hospital office buildings, which were demolished in 1997.
