Jiaxing First Hospital, formerly known as the Catholic Sacred Heart Hospital founded in 1920, is a church hospital run by the French Catholic Charity Society of Paris in Jiaxing Charity Hall.
In September 1951, Jiaxing Municipal People's Government took over Sacred Heart Hospital.
In September 1952, it was merged with the medical office of Jiaxing Municipal People's Government and renamed Jiaxing Municipal Hospital.
In November 1954, it was renamed Jiaxing First Hospital.
In September 1989, it became the Teaching Hospital of Zhejiang Medical University.
In September 1992, the clinical part of Jiaxing Schistosomiasis Prevention and Control Institute and Jiaxing Tuberculosis Prevention and Control Institute was incorporated into Jiaxing First Hospital.
In 2001, it became the First Affiliated Hospital of Jiaxing University.
In August 2019, it became a hospital directly affiliated to Jiaxing University.
In January 2024, the hospital was renamed as the Affiliated Hospital of Jiaxing University (Jiaxing First Hospital).
