On May 17, the 2024 Work at Height Hanging Basket and Window Cleaner Industry Standardization Symposium of Decoration and Aerial Work Machinery Branch of China Construction Machinery Industry Association (hereinafter referred to as the Branch) was held in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province. Wang Donghong, chairman of the branch, Jiang Yan, deputy secretary-general of the branch, Liu Shuang, secretary-general of the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Lifting Platform, Wu Renshan, chairman of Jiangsu High Altitude Machinery Basket Association, Zhang Yufeng, chairman of Shenyang Construction Basket Industry Association, Liu Zhou, honorary chairman, Gao Junyi, vice chairman of Shaanxi Construction Equipment and Doors and Windows Association, and Zhao Genyu, an expert, Gao Heshi, chief engineer of Shaanxi Practical Lifting Machinery Research Institute, Zhou Dianhai, vice president of Beijing Construction Machinery Association, Wen Xuebing, national construction engineering quality inspection and testing center, and industry enterprise representatives attended the meeting. At the meeting, topics such as the industry development trend and the improvement of new quality productivity were discussed, and the application of two national standards, GB/T 19155-2017 Hanging Basket for Work at Heights and GB/T 19154-2017 Window Cleaner, were discussed, and the main revision suggestions were initially proposed.
Liu Shuang, Secretary General of the Standardization Technical Committee of the National Lifting Platform, presided over the standard discussion and exchange. He explained the background, main contents and implementation significance of the two standards in detail. He pointed out that as the important equipment for high-altitude operation, the safety of the basket and the window washer is directly related to the life safety of operators. Therefore, the revision and implementation of strict industry standards are crucial to improving the technical level, quality and safety of products.
