"The Chinese medicine culture is extensive and profound, which requires us to keep learning and understanding, inherit and carry forward in practical operation, and promote the development of medical cause." At the outpatient clinic of the Department of Preventive Medicine in the Hongze District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Huai'an City, Jiangsu Province, Min Kai's family, a Taiwan "post-70s" Chinese medicine doctor, said while acupuncture. Min Kai's family, who is now the head of the Science and Education Section of Hongze District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, recently received an exclusive interview from China News Service, and showed his skill of "flying needle walking" on the spot. He turned his hand quickly and found that a needle had been accurately inserted into the acupoint.

After graduating from the chemical engineering major, Min Kaijia crossed the border into the field of traditional Chinese medicine. "Traditional Chinese medicine is not a 'heavenly book' for me. I can understand it and want to learn it as my lifelong career," said Min Kai's family.

In 2013, Min Kai's family went to the mainland to study and entered Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine to study for a clinical doctor's degree in internal medicine of traditional Chinese medicine. While studying in Nanjing, he met Zhang Yating, a Taiwanese woman who also studied Chinese medicine. The two people who witnessed the rapid development of the mainland also became married here, and then both took root in Jiangsu's development.

Now, the Min Kai family and his wife have settled and worked in Hongze, Huai'an for the seventh year. "Jiangsu governments at all levels and Taiwan Affairs Offices have provided us with various kinds of help. Take the purchase of real estate as an example, the staff carried out multi-party coordination and communication, which made us feel very cordial when we first arrived in Hongze and were unfamiliar with people," said Min Kai's family.

In the Science and Education Department of Hongze District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Min Kai's family and Zhang Yating are colleagues. The couple's office is "face-to-face". The two people have a clear division of labor. Min Kai's family is good at acupuncture, while Zhang Yating is good at pulse taking. After work, the husband and wife devote themselves to the study of Chinese medicine culture and learn from each other.

Huai'an has a profound culture and a long history of traditional Chinese medicine. Looking back, Min Kai said that with the accumulation of clinical experience, he often felt the improvement of professional ability. "Huai'an's traditional Chinese medicine culture has a subtle positive effect on my character, ideal pursuit and career development."

Nowadays, Chinese medicine is getting more and more attention. During the prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic, Min Kai's family and colleagues successively launched traditional Chinese medicine sachets and epidemic prevention tea, and formulated prescriptions according to nine physical classifications, achieving good results.

In recent years, a series of measures benefiting Taiwan compatriots have been introduced at all levels of the mainland, bringing more development opportunities to Taiwan compatriots in terms of convenient life and career development. "If possible, I would like to share the story of my study and work in the mainland, so as to attract more Taiwan compatriots to come." Min Kai's family suggested that young Taiwanese should visit the mainland more to create more opportunities for themselves.
