Xinhua News Agency, Taipei, May 7 (Reporter Qi Fei, Zhao Bo) All walks of life in Taiwan launched the countersignature of the peace declaration of "cherishing peace and achieving win-win results across the Taiwan Straits" in Taipei on the 7th, and proposed six appeals to the incoming leaders of Taiwan, including "One Central Committee across the Taiwan Straits, restart negotiations", "abolish the 'reverse osmosis law'" and "guide the curriculum of literature and history".

The joint statement notes that the Democratic Progressive Party has been in power for eight years, and cross-strait relations have been deteriorating, forcing Taiwan people to face the survival choice of war or peace, stability or turbulence, prosperity or recession. His various actions, completely disregarding the survival and development of the broad masses of Taiwan people and all kinds of industries, drove the "hate train" loaded with gunpowder to the edge of the cliff of war. The peace initiative launched by all walks of life in Taiwan is an action of the people to protect their homes, and is also a "peace movement" advocating peaceful development across the Taiwan Straits, creating peace dividends, and promoting social reform.

At the event site, six youth representatives came to the stage to read out six appeals, including: early restart of cross-strait negotiations based on the fact that both sides belong to the same Middle School; Respond to the majority of public opinion, restart cross Straits social, economic and cultural exchanges and cooperation in all aspects, and ensure the right of cross Straits people to exchange and exchange; Oppose any arms purchase and cross-strait policies that regard the mainland as the enemy; Abolish the "reverse osmosis law" of "green terror" and ensure the legitimate rights of people across the Straits to exchange and interact; Implement the peace dividend across the Straits and promote the social reform program to achieve fairness and justice; Guide the curriculum of "de sinicization" of literature and history, and return Taiwan youth's historical view of justice and the peaceful development environment across the Taiwan Straits.

Wu Rongyuan, convener of the Cross Strait Forum for Peace and Development, Qi Jialin, president of the "Motherland" magazine, Lin Liteng, secretary-general of the "Blue Sky Action Alliance" and other representatives of the sponsor units, as well as Xiao Kaiping, president of the Taiwan Association for the Advancement of Family Members of Anti Japanese Activists, and Mo Naneng, president of the Xia Chao Federation, and other co signers and representatives from all walks of life, spoke in succession, Calls on the incoming leaders of Taiwan to take responsibility for the majority of the public opinion in Taiwan's society advocating peace.

"The Taiwanese people are facing a dangerous war in the Taiwan Strait. Everything is rising but salaries are not rising. Many people are worried that they will be taken into custody and prosecuted for touching the" reverse osmosis law ". We are really fed up with it!" Ji Xin, a representative of the sponsor and publisher of Observation magazine, said that the Taiwanese people refused to be a pawn of the United States and Japan in curbing the Chinese mainland. They want peaceful development and fairness and justice.

Duan Xinyi, secretary-general of Taiwan Chinese Language Education Promotion Association, said that Chinese culture has always attached importance to peace. Without peace, everything will be zero. The curriculum of "de sinicization" makes young people unfamiliar with our own history and culture. Without a just historical view, peace will become a "suspense". What situation will Taiwan face in the absence of peace?

It is understood that the joint signing of the Peace Declaration has been supported by more than 60 groups and social organizations in the island, such as the Labor Party, the United Alliance Party and the Chinese Patriotic Party. Hundreds of people came to the scene to support, chanting slogans and singing "We are all one family". The sponsor said that the co signing activity will continue.
