On November 5, the 6th China International Import Expo was held as scheduled. In the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Shanghai), which is known as "four leaf clover", "new faces" came on the scene and "old friends" reunited enthusiastically. Honduras and Nicaragua, which participated in the exhibition for the first time, respectively brought special chocolates and coffee beans, peanuts and seafood, which were full of fragrance; Cuba and Bangladesh, which successively participated in the exhibition, brought traditional rum, canned mango, traditional jute woven handbags, baskets, etc., full of flavor.

The Expo is not only an international platform for commodity trading, but also an important stage for cultural and artistic exchanges among countries. Among the more than 3000 global enterprises participating in the exhibition this year, many exhibitors exhibited "foreign flavor" local specialties, which made the visitors feel the flavor and characteristics of foreign countries from a "zero distance".

The staff of the Cuban booth told the People's Daily Online program, "Rice, Oil and Salt", that this time, 21 Cuban local enterprises' special products came to the Expo site, involving agriculture, food, education, tourism, etc. "The Expo is a very good exhibition. Most importantly, we have built a bridge between Chinese enterprises and Cuban enterprises."

The traditional jute handicrafts displayed on the booth in Bangladesh are bright in color and different in shape, which are very eye-catching at each Expo. As one of the agents who initially promoted Bangladeshi jute products enterprises to open up the Chinese market, Yang Jun also felt deeply about the spillover effect brought by the Expo. "The Expo let more people see Bangladeshi jute, and also publicized the local cultural characteristics and tourism resources."

He said that with the opening of the market for jute handicrafts in China, local employment in Bangladesh has increased and the living conditions of workers have improved.
