He went to Xindu Hotel, Nanhu Street, Luohu District, with his teammates that night to rescue two staff trapped in the warehouse on the first floor.

"The two people could not be reached by mobile phones, so we located them by tapping the ground. Dong Shuang said that the two trapped people were successfully rescued at about 5:40 a.m. on the 8th.

According to the data, from September 7, 18 to September 8, 06:00, Shenzhen Fire Department dispatched 3927 firefighters, 721 vehicle times of fire rescue vehicles and 80 boat times to rescue more than 500 trapped people, and transferred more than 1300 people. Due to continuous rainfall, the water level of Shenzhen Reservoir was close to the flood control level, and the flood discharge started at 0:15 on the 8th, with a flow of 70-80 m3/s; At 3:15, the flood discharge was adjusted to 120 m3/s.
