An indelible title: Mindong Independent Division of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army held a new book conference in Fuzhou

A lively study and education of party history

On September 28, the press conference of the new book "An indelible title: the East Fujian Independent Division of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army" was held in Fuzhou. The press conference was jointly held by the New Fourth Army Research Association of Fujian Province, the Fujian Biographical Literature Society, and the Fu'an Talent Workstation in Fuzhou.

This monograph was written by researcher Miao Xiaoning, with a total of 700000 words, and published by People's Daily Press. The whole book is a panoramic account of the glorious course of fighting from 1931 to 1938, when the Communist Party of East Fujian led the establishment of the workers and peasants' guerrillas in East Fujian and the independent division of the Red Army in East Fujian to establish, defend, restore and develop the revolutionary base in East Fujian. With the outbreak of the all-around war of resistance against Japan, the Independent Division of the Red Army in eastern Fujian was reorganized into the Sixth Regiment of the New Fourth Army and moved northward to fight against Japan, and its designation ceased to exist. But for the people in the old area of eastern Fujian, the Independent Division of the Red Army in eastern Fujian is an indelible designation and an indelible red memory in their hearts.

It is reported that the Mindong Red Army Independent Division is the predecessor of the Sixth Regiment of the Third Detachment of the New Fourth Army, and the predecessor of the 58th Brigade ("Yang Gensi Force") and 60th Brigade ("Shajiabang Force") of the 83rd Group Army of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. This is a heroic army with orderly inheritance, profound tradition, galloping on the battlefield and repeatedly building miracles. Up to now, there has not been a monograph on the combat history of the Red Army of workers and peasants in eastern Fujian, and the compilation and publication of this monograph has filled the research gap in this regard.

On the eve of commemorating the 89th anniversary of the birth of the Independent Division of the Red Army in East Fujian, the press conference invited more than 100 people, including the descendants of old soldiers of the Red Army in East Fujian, old leaders from East Fujian in Rong, representatives of the blood units of the Old Sixth Regiment of the New Fourth Army in East Fujian, representatives of important local heroes from all walks of life in Fu'an, and journalists from the news media.

At the new book press conference, the sponsor presented nearly 200 new books to the blood line troops of the Old Six Regiments in East Fujian, the Fu'an Brigade Rong Fellowship, representatives of Fuzhou Fu'an Chamber of Commerce, and representatives of Fu'an's sub stations in Fuzhou Talent Workstation.

"How to overcome all kinds of difficulties and achieve the two centenary goals? We can get many insights from this book." Ye Xiaonan, the daughter of Ye Fei, the independent division commander, political commissar and founding general of the Red Army in eastern Fujian, recalled his father's earnest teachings at the press conference. Wang Yi, secretary-general of Fujian Biographical Literature Society and Dai Ruiqi, director of Fu'an Talent Workstation in Fuzhou, the sponsor, delivered warm speeches successively.
