The Huainan People's Procuratorate was founded in 1952, formerly known as the Huainan People's Procuratorate. In 1955, it was officially renamed as the Huainan People's Procuratorate. Due to the impact of the "Cultural Revolution", it was paralyzed in 1966 and restored in 1979. Huainan People's Procuratorate has jurisdiction over seven county and district offices, namely Fengtai and Shouxian, and five district procuratorates, namely Datong, Tianjia'an, Xiejiaji, Bagongshan and Panji. After the reform of the national supervision system, the Anti Corruption and Bribery Bureau, the Anti malfeasance and Tort Bureau, and the Duty Crime Prevention Procuratorate of the Municipal Procuratorate have transferred a total of 12 procuratorial policemen. At present, the municipal procuratorate has 78 political and legal personnel, 11 clerks, and its internal organs are: the Office, the First Procuratorate, the Second Procuratorate, the Third Procuratorate, the Fourth Procuratorate, the Fifth Procuratorate The Sixth Procuratorate Department, the Seventh Procuratorate Department, the Law and Policy Research Office, the Procuratorate Supervision Department, the Procuratorate Information Technology Department, the Procuratorate Security Department, the Publicity and Education Department, the Cadre Department, the Retired Cadre Department, and the Party Committee of the organ. The branches of the post offices are the Procuratorate Office in the Detention Center and the Procuratorate Office in Maoji.  

Huainan People's Procuratorate is the national legal supervision organ. By exercising procuratorial power, it pursues crimes, maintains national security and social order, protects the legitimate rights and interests of individuals and organizations, protects national interests and social public interests, ensures the correct implementation of laws, maintains social fairness and justice, and maintains the unity, dignity and authority of the national legal system, We will ensure the smooth progress of building socialism with Chinese characteristics.  

The Huainan People's Procuratorate is responsible for and reports on its work to the Huainan People's Congress and its Standing Committee, and accepts the leadership of the people's procuratorate at a higher level.  

The main responsibilities of Huainan People's Procuratorate are:

（1） Put forward proposals on procuratorial work to Huainan Municipal People's Congress and its Standing Committee according to law.  

（2） To lead the work of the people's procuratorates at the county and district levels throughout the city, and to determine and deploy the tasks of procuratorial work throughout the city.  

（3） Exercise procuratorial power according to law in cases of treason, major criminal cases that endanger national security and seriously undermine the unified implementation of national policies, laws, decrees and decrees.  

（4） Review, approve, decide to arrest and initiate public prosecution of major criminal cases in the city according to law; To lead the people's procuratorates at the grass-roots level in examining and approving arrests, deciding on arrests and initiating public prosecutions in criminal cases.  

（5） To lead the people's procuratorates at the grass-roots level throughout the city to exercise legal supervision over criminal proceedings, civil trials and administrative proceedings in accordance with the law, and to initiate civil and administrative public interest litigation in accordance with the law.  

（6） To lead the people's procuratorates at the grass-roots level in the city to supervise the legality of the criminal law enforcement activities of the executive organs according to law.  

（7） Review the decisions made by the grassroots people's procuratorates in the exercise of procuratorial power and correct wrong decisions.  

（8） Accepting the reports, complaints and appeals of units and individuals, as well as the voluntary surrender of criminal suspects.  

（9） To be responsible for the guidance of the procuratorial organs of the whole city on the comprehensive management of other social security in the procuratorial link.  

（10） To plan and guide the procuratorial technology, the construction of special communication networks, the construction of information networks, and the inspection, identification, review and review of physical evidence of the procuratorial organs in the city.    

（11） To be responsible for the investigation and study of specific legal application issues in the procuratorial work of the whole city; To guide the policy and legal theoretical research work of the people's procuratorates at the grass-roots level; We will promote procuratorial reform.  

（12） To be responsible for the team building of the city's procuratorial organs, the construction of a clean and honest party style and the ideological and political work, and to lead the grass-roots people's procuratorates in the city to manage the work of prosecutors and other procurators according to law. Cooperate with the municipal competent departments to manage the organizational structure and staffing of the grassroots people's procuratorates in the city, and formulate relevant personnel management measures.       

（13） To organize and guide the education and training of cadres of the procuratorial system in the city, plan and guide the construction of training bases and teaching staff.  

（14） To plan, guide and organize the implementation of the procuratorial support equipment work of the procuratorial organs throughout the city.  

（15） To be responsible for the external exchange of the procuratorial organs of the city, and carry out the work of judicial assistance and cross regional case investigation.  

（16） To be responsible for other matters that should be undertaken by the Municipal People's Procuratorate.
