Project Overview

With the rapid development of modern marine transportation industry, the demand for ship intelligence and informatization is increasingly urgent. On the one hand, ships need real-time, accurate and efficient information transmission and processing capabilities in navigation, cargo management, safety monitoring, energy efficiency optimization, etc; On the other hand, facing the trend of global operation, the demand for ship shore information interaction, remote monitoring and cooperation is also increasing. In this context, 5G technology provides a strong technical support for the construction of ship informatization with its ultra-high speed rate, ultra-low delay, Dalian access and other characteristics.

1. Real time data transmission: real-time data transmission of ship navigation status, cargo status and equipment operation data to meet the needs of remote monitoring and decision-making.

2. Automation and intelligence: Realize ship autopilot, intelligent navigation, remote control and other functions through 5G network to improve navigation safety and efficiency.

3. Safety monitoring and emergency response: use 5G technology to realize real-time video monitoring, environmental awareness and safety early warning, and improve ship safety management level and emergency response capability.

4. Energy efficiency management and operation and maintenance optimization: through real-time analysis of ship equipment operation data, optimize energy use, and achieve intelligent operation and maintenance and energy conservation and emission reduction.

5. Connectivity and compatibility: The system is required to be able to seamlessly connect with the existing shore based information system, global positioning system and other communication systems, so as to realize the interconnection of the whole network.

System characteristics

one Multi link switching: The system supports seamless switching and redundant backup of 4G/5G and satellite communication links. When the ship is in the 4G/5G signal coverage area, 4G/5G network is preferred for high-speed and low delay data transmission; However, when the ocean area or 4G/5G signal is poor, the intelligent gateway will automatically switch to the satellite communication link to ensure that the communication will not be interrupted throughout the voyage.

two Data transmission of various sensors on board: real-time data generated by various sensors (such as log, detector, wind speed direction indicator, etc.) are uploaded to the data server in real time through 4G/5G or satellite links, providing basis for intelligent operation and remote monitoring of the ship.

three Cab control and communication: various control equipment and information systems in the cab maintain close contact with the shore based control center through 4G/5G or satellite communication to achieve remote assistance in driving, electronic chart update, weather forecast information push, etc. At the same time, voice and video communication in the cab can also be carried out smoothly to improve navigation safety and operation convenience.

four Monitoring and management of each cabin: the system collects the environmental data and image information in the cabin in real time through the monitoring cameras, temperature probes and other equipment arranged in each cabin, and transmits them to the shore based monitoring center and the onboard control room in real time through 4G/5G or satellite communication, so as to facilitate the storage environment Personnel safety Remote monitoring and management of equipment operation status.

five Network coverage of wireless access points (APs) in each region: set multiple APs on the ship to build the wireless network coverage of the whole ship, so as to ensure that the crew, as well as mobile devices (such as UAVs, AGVs, etc.) can access the network and exchange data with shore based, satellite and other onboard systems.

six Centralized processing and storage of data server: the data server is the core of the ship information system, which gathers the massive data generated by all sensors, control systems and communication equipment on the ship, and transmits it to the shore based data center in real time or at regular intervals through 4G/5G and satellite links. At the same time, the server also receives control commands and update information from the shore based, It will be distributed to each shipboard system as required.
