On May 8, the Southeast Network (Huang Kai and Huang Qiuya, correspondents of Fujian Daily's Su Yijie) learned from Xiamen Frontier Inspection Station on the 6th that during the May Day holiday this year, Fujian ports had inspected more than 100000 inbound and outbound passengers and more than 960 transport vehicles, an increase of more than 80% and nearly 40% respectively over the same period last year. Among them, on the 5th, Fujian port ushered in the peak of one-day inbound and outbound passenger flow during the holiday, with a total of 24500 inbound and outbound passengers inspected, and more than 190 inbound and outbound transportation vehicles inspected, setting a new high of one-day inbound and outbound passenger flow at Fujian port this year.

In terms of cross-strait exchanges, Fujian Port has inspected more than 20000 passengers in total, including more than 60 direct flights between the two sides of the Taiwan Straits and more than 7700 passengers, with an increase of more than 60% and 70% respectively over the same period last year; We checked more than 120 "small three links" passenger ships across the Taiwan Straits, with more than 13000 passengers, up 50% and about 65% respectively from the same period last year.

In order to actively respond to the peak passenger flow during the holiday, Xiamen Frontier Inspection Station strictly implements the requirements of "two announcements and one prompt", scientifically predicts and timely releases the inbound and outbound passenger flow at each port, adjusts the police deployment in real time, dynamically adjusts the proportion of channels, and strengthens the leading capacity in advance; Provide personalized assistance to special groups such as the old, the weak, the sick, the disabled, the pregnant, and passengers with more luggage and babies, and strive to create a safe, efficient and smooth customs clearance environment at ports.
