In his speech, Wang Huning said that the Second Session of the 14th CPPCC National Committee was a conference to hold high the banner, work hard and forge ahead in unity, gathering positive energy and boosting vitality. Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, President of the State and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, and leading comrades of the Party and the state attended the opening and closing meetings of the Congress, visited members and participated in joint group discussions, and discussed with members about national justice. All members carefully studied the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech at the joint meeting of the members of the National Revolutionary Committee, the scientific and technological community, and the environmental and resource community, discussed in depth the government work report and other reports, carefully considered the work report of the CPPCC Standing Committee and the report on the work of proposals, and other documents, actively made suggestions and contributions to the government, widely gathered consensus, and achieved fruitful political results.
