"Guofan Brick Language" Quanzhou Overseas Chinese Residence Hundred Brick Photography Exhibition Held

Recently, "Guo Fan Brick Language" Quanzhou Overseas Chinese Folk House Hundred Brick Photography Exhibition was held in Quanzhou Overseas Chinese History Museum. With the theme of "Guofanzhuan Language", this photo exhibition shows the unique charm of Quanzhou's overseas Chinese architecture and the deep attachment of overseas Chinese to their hometown through the form of photography art.

Quanzhou is a famous cultural city with a long history, and also the hometown of many overseas Chinese. They travel across the oceans to make a living overseas, which is called "Guofan". After their successful careers, they have built many overseas Chinese residences with different styles in their hometown, which have become the local beautiful scenery lines. These overseas Chinese have experienced a hundred years of wind and rain, witnessed the changes of an era, carried the feelings and stories of overseas Chinese, and are rare cultural heritage.

In this exhibition, more than 100 photographic works are exhibited, focusing on "seeing people, seeing things, seeing life, leaving shape, soul and nostalgia". Taking the bricks with different shapes of Quanzhou overseas Chinese as clues, through the author's unique perspective, the historical and cultural information contained in these overseas Chinese bricks is captured. Each brick tells a story, and each story is a period of history. The works in the exhibition will show more details of the architecture through micro perspectives such as texture, color, shape, etc., from which we can see the unique style of Quanzhou's overseas Chinese living, and deeply embed those expectations for a better home in the mottled bricks.

"Seeing these photographic works, I felt the deep feelings of overseas Chinese ancestors towards their hometown. These overseas Chinese buildings are not only cold stones and wood, but also the historical witness of temperature, which enables us to have a deeper understanding and understanding of the past of Quanzhou," said Mr. Chen, a citizen who came to visit the photography exhibition.

The holding of this photo exhibition not only enabled people to appreciate the unique beauty of Quanzhou overseas Chinese residences, deepened their understanding of overseas Chinese culture, but also awakened people's awareness of the protection of historical and cultural heritage. Through these photographic works, more people learned about the struggles of overseas Chinese and their feelings for their hometown, promoted the cultural inheritance and exchange, and witnessed the connection between overseas Chinese and their hometown.
