Huang Ruilin, former deputy secretary of the Fujian Provincial Party Committee and a Tibetan inkstone artist, Li Yumin, vice chairman of the China Folk Artists Association and chairman of the Fujian Folk Artists Association, and other leading guests attended the meeting.

It is reported that Fengpeng inkstone was a famous inkstone for study in the bleak beach of Nanjianzhou (now Nanping City, Fujian Province) in the Northern Song Dynasty. It was named Fengdang Inkstone by Su Dongpo, a great writer in the Northern Song Dynasty. Since the Song Dynasty, Fengdang Inkstone has been out of production. The inkstone committee of the Chinese People's Association gave strong support to the resumption of production of Fengxuan inkstone. In recent years, Zheng Shiyang, a craftsman in Jianzhou, has repeatedly investigated and searched for stones. Finally, he found Fengxuan inkstone stones in Yanping District and resumed production. The 60 square phoenix inkstone in this exhibition was produced by Zheng Shiyang's team. It is the first time that Fengpeng inkstone has been officially displayed to the society in scale after its resumption of production.

The reporter learned that Fujian has a long history of making inkstone. During the Tang and Song Dynasties, the inkstone industry in Jianzhou area of northern Fujian had a certain scale of industry. In addition to Fengxuan inkstone, there are nearly 10 kinds of inkstone produced in Fujian, including Jianzhou brine inkstone, Jianglelongchi inkstone, Pucheng immortal inkstone, Dehua porcelain inkstone, Shoushan inkstone, etc. In the middle and early Qing Dynasty, there was also a group of Fujian literati and bureaucrats who collected inkstone, which gave birth to a school of "literati inkstone" making inkstone in Fujian... These heavy heritage of inkstone history laid an important position of Fujian inkstone culture in the history of Chinese inkstone. In this exhibition, there are 60 square pieces of local inkstone and inscription inkstone of Fujian celebrities since Tang and Song dynasties. The collection was provided by Wu Ligu, Huang Ruilin, Su Wenbin, Wang Yiyong and other collectors in Fujian.

At the academic exchange meeting, Huang Ruilin shared his experience of collecting inkstone with everyone from the perspective of his own collection, and made a keynote speech on the inkstone affairs and inkstone studies of Huang Ren, Lin Ji and other famous collectors of inkstone in Fujian in the Qing Dynasty. Wu Ligu, a guest, demonstrated the objective existence of "Min school inkstone carving" in the middle of the Qing Dynasty from the aspects of the inkstone art style of the native place of the inkstone carving family, the influence of the inkstone history, etc., with the theme of "Ming school inkstone carving schools in the Qing Dynasty".

It is reported that the "Phoenix Inkstone Resumption Production New Product Observation Exhibition" and "Fujian Inkstone Culture Theme Collection Exhibition" are sponsored by the Inkstone Culture Committee of China Folk Literature and Art Association, organized by Beijing Zhuoyun Building, supported by Fujian Folk Literature and Art Association and Fujian Arts and Crafts Association.
