Before the launch ceremony, a rapid, efficient and orderly subway earthquake evacuation drill was held at Fuzhou Metro Pingshan Station and the subway exit adjacent to Yeshan Chunqiu Garden.
The drill simulated that an earthquake of magnitude 5.8 occurred in Lianjiang, Fujian Province. The earthquake was felt strongly in Fuzhou urban area. After receiving the earthquake information released by the Seismological Bureau of Fujian Province, Fuzhou Metro organized the shutdown of the whole line network, and the electric bus driver and the personnel at Pingshan Station carried out rescue and evacuation work for the trapped passengers on the train and successfully evacuated safely.
