October 13 every year is the anniversary of the founding of the Chinese Young Pioneers. As early as in the period of the New Democratic Revolution, the Communist Party of China has successively led the establishment of child revolutionary organizations such as the Labor Boy Scouts, the Communist Children's League, the Anti Japanese Children's League, and the Young Pioneers. In October 1949, a nationwide unified children's revolutionary organization, the Chinese Children's Team, was officially established. In 1953, the Chinese Children's Team was renamed as the Chinese Young Pioneers, which has been used since then. "Our children in New China, the pioneers of our new youth, unite to inherit our father and brother, not afraid of difficulties, not afraid of heavy burdens..." This song has accompanied the first generation of children in New China through that period of time, making many old young pioneers unforgettable.
