Membership process

Individual membership procedures

（1） Ordinary members

I applied for membership and issued the membership certificate after being approved by the organization work committee authorized by the Council of the Association.

（2） Student member

I applied for membership and issued the membership certificate after being approved by the organization work committee authorized by the Council of the Association.

（3） Senior member

I applied for membership and issued the membership certificate after being approved by the organization work committee authorized by the Council of the Association. The Association will accept the application of senior members for membership in one of the following ways:

one Introduction of two senior members of the Association;

two Recommended by branches, provincial railway societies, secretariats and unit members of the Association.

（4） Members from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan

I applied for membership and issued the membership certificate after being approved by the organization work committee authorized by the Council of the Association. The Association will accept applications from members from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan for membership in one of the following ways:

one Introduction of two members of the Association;

two Recommended by branches, provincial railway societies, secretariats and unit members of the Association;

three Holding the membership certificate of the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Society that has signed a cooperation agreement with the Association;

four The cooperation agreement signed between the Association and the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Societies stipulates that both parties will give the membership of designated persons to each other.

（5） Foreign member

I put forward an application for membership, which was reviewed by the organization work committee authorized by the Council of the Association, approved by the Council (Standing Council) and reported to the China Association for Science and Technology for the record, and then issued a membership certificate. The Association will accept the application of foreign members in one of the following ways:

one Introduction of two members of the Association;

two Recommended by branches, provincial railway societies, secretariats and unit members of the Association;

three The member certificate of a foreign institute that has signed a cooperation agreement with the Association;

four The cooperation agreement signed between the Association and foreign societies stipulates that both parties will give the membership of designated persons to each other.

Membership procedures for unit members

The organization will issue the membership certificate after the application is approved by the organization work committee authorized by the Council of the Association.

When submitting the application form for membership, the applicant should also provide a copy of its business license (copy of legal person certificate) and relevant supporting materials. The Association will review the information on the nature, scale, motivation for joining the association, contact with the railway industry and other aspects of the applicant, and can also arrange on-site inspection as required.
