Recently, an American official slandered a crane made in China as a "Trojan horse", hyping that Chinese cranes "may pose a potential security risk to the United States".
The official claimed that the "advanced sensors" installed in these cranes not only "have remote access function", but also "record and track the origin and destination of containers". Based on this, "it is inferred" that China may "close American ports by controlling cranes", or even "obtain information related to U.S. military transportation intelligence and military operations".
These groundless and slanderous remarks of the US side have also attracted the attention of Germany and Australia. They are like parrots, not only saying that "cranes are China's chips", but also threatening to "dismantle China's cranes".
In this regard, the Chinese heavy equipment manufacturing enterprise Zhenhua Heavy Industry recently responded that the company has always operated in accordance with the law, and the cranes provided by it will not pose a network security risk to any port. The relevant reports are easy to mislead the public without full fact review.
In fact, the doubters have not yet been able to provide even one specific example to prove that the Chinese crane is the so-called "Trojan Horse". The US side and its accomplices' actions of generalizing the concept of national security, abusing national power and unjustifiably suppressing Chinese products and enterprises are totally instrumentalized and weaponized economic and trade issues. The consequences of doing so will only aggravate the security risks of the global production and supply chain and ultimately harm others and themselves.
As an important achievement of modern industrial civilization, cranes are an effective tool to improve production efficiency. The United States and its helpers should stop these counter current tricks as soon as possible, earnestly respect the market economy and the principle of fair competition, and provide a fair, just and non discriminatory environment for enterprises in all countries to operate.
