Tang Shoukuan, 56, suffered from a spinal disease due to an accident when he was a child. The deformation of the spine led to compression of the heart. He should have been taken care of by others, but he shouldered the burden of caring for his lover and supporting the elderly. "My wife suffers from uremia and takes her to dialysis every week." Tang Shoukuan said that his mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease a few years ago, and his father suffered from cerebral infarction. Tang Shoukuan had to chat with his mother every day, and he had to take his father with mobility problems to do rehabilitation exercises to take care of his family. However, Tang Shoukuan was still optimistic and full of love for life.

In 2015, Tang Shoukuan participated in a manual learning class held by the Disabled Persons' Federation of Jingyue High tech Zone. When he came back, he searched information on the Internet and practiced straw weaving, beading, and copper wire weaving. He soon mastered these skills. In 2016, with the help of the Disabled Persons' Federation of Jingyue High tech Zone and Jingyue Street, Tang Shoukuan set up the "Heart Start" Handwoven Room for the Disabled to hope that more disabled people can find their own value through hand knitting. "I have been ill for many years, and I know how it feels to be tied down in my life. I hope I can help more people who have difficulties like me, and only when they have a career can they have a promising future." Tang Shoukuan said that he has taught more than 20 disabled people so far, and several of them have made profits through manual editing. "As long as anyone wants to learn, I'm willing to teach for free," Tang Shoukuan said.

Tang Shoukuan loves to study and is good at learning. With the help of kind-hearted people, he also learned to draw architectural drawings and helped construction companies to draw iron decoration drawings for stairs. With these skills, Tang Shoukuan increased his income and had the ability to support his family. He often said, "Although I am disabled, I can't always' wait and see '. I will try my best to help more people."

Tang Shoukuan's spirit of self-reliance and love of helping the weak and helping the poor were praised by people and won the title of "Changchun Good Man" in 2022.
