On the calendar of students receiving special education, April must be highlighted. They call it "the month of college entrance examination". The special education school is the stage for them to realize their dream of university.

On March 18, in the senior three classroom of the municipal special education school, students held paintbrushes and recorded the scenery in life with gorgeous colors. Each stroke on the screen is combined into a blue and white porcelain vase, a dry flower bouquet, and a light yellow lining... It shows the students' artistic skills accumulated over the years and tells of their silent struggle.

"This is a color lesson, in the form of silent painting. The teacher wrote the elements of the picture on the blackboard, and the students made up their own, mainly to examine the students' picture layout and control of color ability, which is also the college entrance examination question for special education students in previous years." Lu Na, the head teacher of the third year of senior high school, walked over to student Xiao Zhang and gave her a thumbs up, "In the recent final exam, Xiao Zhang's Chinese performance was not very good. Her mood was out of control, and she even wanted to give up the college entrance exam. We specially gave her psychological counseling to calm her anxiety." Lu Na said that under the guidance of a psychological teacher, Xiao Zhang had adjusted his learning state.

At present, most of the students in Changchun Special Education School are deaf students with different degrees. For this reason, the school implements "one case for life" and makes education plans for each student. Students taking the college entrance examination will go to colleges and universities that recruit hearing impaired students to take the exam from April 3. Different from the ordinary college entrance examination, students from special education schools need to attend professional and cultural examinations at each university they apply for at a specific time. For this reason, the school has purposely summarized the examination priorities of each university that has applied for the examination for many years, and provided targeted guidance to students.

"Changchun University pays more attention to professional courses, so we increase the proportion of art courses for students who grow up. Tianjin University of Science and Technology pays more attention to science, and we will strengthen students' logical thinking ability training in the form of videos, courseware, experimental operations, etc." President Wang Hongliang introduced that it is the "one life case" education method that enables students to enter the ideal university, The school has reached 100% enrollment rate for 12 consecutive years. In Wang Hongliang's view, behind the 100% enrollment rate is the city's high attention to special education.

Since the implementation of the second special education promotion plan in our city, many changes have taken place in the city's special education schools. The new plastic playground, a photography classroom equipped with high-end teaching equipment, a professional rehabilitation classroom, and a high-quality teaching team have become the strong backing for students to realize their dream of university.

"From pre-school to high school, students don't need to spend a penny on food, clothing, housing, transportation and learning." According to the relevant person in charge of the Municipal Education Bureau, according to the second phase of the special education promotion plan, the average public funds for students in special education schools reached 6000 yuan per year in the compulsory education stage, and the tuition fees for each student in vocational high school were exempted from 2000 yuan per year, Autistic and mentally retarded children and adolescents aged 7 to 15 also receive education and rehabilitation training subsidies of 18000 yuan per person per year and 20 yuan per day for boarding students.
