On May 21, the "Jingchu Famous Pig Bay Area Fragrance" series promotion conference and production and marketing docking activity of the public brand of the pig industry chain region in Hubei Province, hosted by the Hubei Provincial Pig Industry Chain Working Class, was held in Guangzhou. This activity is the first activity of Hubei pig industry chain promotion outside the province and production and marketing docking in 2024.
At the event site, 30 Hubei pig industry chain brand enterprises including Hubei Agricultural Development Animal Husbandry Group and Wuhan Jiangxia District Jinlong Livestock and Poultry Co., Ltd., as well as 15 large-scale pig (beef cattle, mutton sheep) breeding enterprises, together with high-quality meat products in Hubei, made a centralized appearance, and carried out production and marketing docking with more than 40 professional buyers in Guangdong. Hubei high-quality pork brands and pork products, represented by Chuxiang Black Pig, Xidu Black Pig, Zhongxiang Panlong Dish, Xuanen Ham and Shiyan Dried Pork, shine on the scene, winning a large number of buyers to stop for tasting and purchasing.
Cao Shengli, the head of the special shift office of the pig industry chain in Hubei Province, said that Hubei is a major pig raising province in China, with the annual output of pigs remaining at about 42 million, ranking fifth in China for many consecutive years. Hubei is a strong province in traditional pig breeding, with 9 national pig core breeding farms, ranking second in China. Enshi Xidu black pig, independently bred in Hubei, is a national approved breed; Xuan'en ham is one of the four largest hams in China; Tongcheng Liangtou Wurong was certified as a geographical indication of agricultural products by the Ministry of Agriculture; Chuxiang Black Pig occupies most of the high-end market share in Hong Kong and Macao. Hubei pig is a high-quality pig, healthy pig and delicious pig, and Guangdong is a major pig consumption province. I believe entrepreneurs in both places can deepen exchanges and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.
Teng Huaguo, President of Hubei Chamber of Commerce and Secretary of the Party Committee of Guangdong Province, said that at present, the annual consumption of pigs in Guangdong Province is more than 50 million, and the consumption gap is expected to be about one-third. He hoped that enterprises in Hubei and Guangdong would seize the historical opportunity to realize economic complementation and consumption reciprocity. He believed that the pig industry chain would certainly add a significant contribution to the economic development of Hubei and Guangdong.
Taking this event as an opportunity, Hubei's pig industry chain will continue to enter Dongguan and Zhongshan. Hubei and Guangdong will further deepen cooperation in the agricultural field, accelerate the docking of production and marketing of pigs and meat products in Hubei and Guangdong, optimize and expand the supply and demand market of agricultural products in Hubei and Guangdong, and help the rural revitalization of the two provinces.
