The city's top ten industries have achieved sustained and rapid development, with an increase of 13.6% in 2011 and 2012. The proportion of output value of the top ten industries has increased rapidly, effectively promoting the transformation and upgrading of Hangzhou's economy. At the same time, a group of ten industrial enterprises with strong comprehensive strength, rapid development speed and obvious driving effect on industrial transformation and upgrading emerged.
At the beginning of the Year of the Dragon, a development battle in key areas of emerging industries and modern service industries was sounded in Hangzhou. Today, Hangzhou held a working conference on promoting the development of ten major industries, which defined the goals and basic ideas of industrial promotion in 2012, and also scheduled more than 200 key industrial projects to be implemented in all districts and counties (cities) of the city this year.
The ten major industries that Hangzhou focuses on include cultural innovation, tourism and leisure, financial services, e-commerce, information software, advanced equipment manufacturing, Internet of Things, biomedicine, energy conservation and environmental protection, new energy, etc. During the "Twelfth Five Year Plan" period, Hangzhou municipal and district/county (city) level finance will concentrate 20 billion yuan to support the development of ten major industries.
Hangzhou's e-commerce development has always been at the national * level, and is known as the "China's e-commerce capital". Among them, there are not only Alibaba, Netsun Technology and other national * listed companies, but also developing enterprises such as the 19th floor, Qibo, which have a certain reputation in China, and there are a large number of industrial and regional e-commerce websites.
