Leakage cause and plugging scheme:
The key structures in the sewage treatment project are mostly reinforced concrete thin-walled structures. 1 Crack treatment
For cracks caused by various reasons, necessary treatment must be carried out. According to different types and sizes of cracks, the following treatment methods are available.
1.1 Surface repair method
For minor cracks (<0.2mm), surface repair is a simple and common repair method. It is mainly applicable to the treatment of surface cracks that are stable and have no effect on the bearing capacity of the structure. The traditional treatment measures are to apply cement slurry, epoxy mortar or anti-corrosion materials on the surface of the cracks. Now a new waterproof and anti-corrosion coating, polymer modified cement-based permeable spherical crystal product, has been widely used. It can close static cracks below 0.3mm, has high bonding strength with the surface to be constructed, has good weather resistance, and can prevent direct light irradiation. As long as the structure is not damaged, it will be effective for a long time.

1.2 Caulking and sealing method [3]
For cracks exceeding 0.3mm, especially moving cracks, it is necessary to plug them, and if necessary, grouting treatment shall be combined.
Caulking method is a commonly used method in crack sealing. It usually chisels along the crack and embeds plastic or rigid water stop materials in the groove to achieve the purpose of sealing the crack. Figure 1 is a method we use in moving crack treatment.
Process flow: notch the crack, clean the loose part, block up and stop the water (quick drying cement), (if there is open water, bury the nozzle and inject polyurethane slurry to stop the water), apply a layer of flexible excellent water stop (a polymer modified cement-based waterproof material), and then place a reinforcing mesh to plaster the flexible excellent water stop surface layer.
1.3 Replacement concrete and grouting
For the area with dense cracks, the local looseness is usually caused by the construction quality or material quality (such as alkali aggregate reaction), the surface is irregular and the cracks are dense, and even leakage occurs at the bottom of the sewage pool, then the original concrete shall be chiseled out, combined with grouting, and repair shall be carried out. Grouting is mainly aimed at the repair of concrete cracks that have an impact on the integrity of the structure or have anti-seepage requirements. It is to use pressure equipment to press the cementitious material into the concrete cracks. After hardening, the cementitious material forms a whole with the concrete, so as to play the purpose of plugging and strengthening.
2.1 Construction principle
2.1.1 Overview of grouting method
a. Grouting is a new type of chemical grouting plugging technology, which uses double liquid grouting. The three kinds of raw materials weighed in proportion are added with water and stirred to make liquid A, and the sulfur fixation weighed in proportion is added with water and stirred to make liquid B. When the two kinds of liquids are mixed, polymerization reaction occurs. The initial setting is 30 seconds, and the reaction is completed in 2-3 minutes, and the final setting is colloidal. The grouting is injected into the structural layer in the form of water solution, the slurry viscosity is low, the permeability is good, and the crack below 0.1mm can be injected; The slurry can agglomerate under the conditions of humidity, high water speed and large amount of water; The gel also has good impermeability, water expansion, corrosion resistance and other characteristics. The compressive strength of the gel is 0.01-0.06MPa, and the tensile strength is 0.02-0.04MPa.
b. The grouting method is mainly used for large water leakage and dispersed water flow, which is not conducive to plugging cracks and individual water outlet points and surfaces. Determine the plugging position according to the crack condition. Carry out internal grouting to seal the water channel and cracks, or make the water flow relatively concentrated, so as to facilitate plugging. For centralized water outlet points with water leakage greater than 150mL/min, water diversion grouting method shall be used for water plugging. First, drill holes on the water outlet point. The high level of the drill hole should not penetrate the structural layer, and should not be less than 20cm. This can not only avoid the super diffusion of grout during grouting, but also dredge the micro fissures around the water outlet point, playing a role in pressure relief. Then clean up the crushed stone floating debris in the hole, use quick gel mud to bury the plastic hose with an outer diameter of 25mm into the water diversion hole, and then use mortar to trim the mouth.


21.2 Concrete construction steps of grouting
a. Surface cleaning: clean the concrete surface about 10cm around the crack to find the position of the crack and the water source.
b. Seam cutting or drilling: use a cutter to cut the seam with a depth of 6-8cm at 3cm on the left and right of the seepage seam to prepare for grooving.
c. Gouging: manually chisel out the groove with a height of 8cm (construction joint) or 6cm (lining crack), generally chisel into an inverted trapezoidal groove with a large inside (6cm) and a small outside (4cm), to ensure that the external waterproof layer is 2-3cm thick.
d. Embedded grouting pipe: for the water leakage between the water supply pipe and the buried casing joint, first chisel the leakage point with a height of no more than 70mm, after washing with water, install hemp rope, and then use plugging materials to plug and embed 1-2 grouting pipes for diversion.
e. Grouting: inject grout from the grouting pipe after the waterproof mortar of the plugging material reaches a certain strength; The grouting effect shall be judged according to the grout flowing out of the corresponding grouting pipe nearby, and the grout shall be filled with gaps and evenly distributed; The grouting pressure is controlled at 0.3-0.4MPa, which is generally determined through on-site testing; After grouting, fasten the grouting pipe orifice with iron wire to prevent grout from flowing out; After the grout hardens, cut off the grouting pipe.
f. Brush mortar for leveling: after the waterproof mortar reaches a certain strength, spray wet the repair area, brush 1:2 ordinary mortar for leveling, with a thickness of 0.5-0.8cm.
g. Curing: spray curing within 3 days
2.1.3 Grouting principle
For spot leakage grouting, the amount of water injected is smaller first and larger later; The circumferential cracks are grouted from bottom to top; The horizontal or inclined cracks are grouted from the small water volume end to the large end; The surface leakage shall be grouted from the periphery to the center.
2.1.4 Considerations for grouting completion criteria
The principle is whether the surface leakage water has been effectively blocked. Technical measures for channeling and plugging during grouting: plugging of existing leakage water during grouting shall be considered in hole layout, and channeling grouting shall be carried out during grouting, that is, injecting slurry first, gradually changing the slurry concentration when there is slurry overflow in the leakage water, adjusting the gel time of the slurry, so that the leakage water can be channeled and plugged from inside to outside through grouting. If part of the leakage points cannot reach the purpose of slurry overflow during grouting, the leakage points shall be set with holes for grouting, so as to fill and block the grout from the outside to the inside.

Due to limited conditions (unable to excavate), it can only be treated on the back surface of the project, usually by grouting, caulking, pasting and other methods.
1. Grouting and caulking method:
The fillings in the original deformation joint shall be removed and cleaned to the surface of the waterstop. After cleaning, the quick setting waterstop material shall be used for pipe drawing, pipe burying, and water diversion operations. The groove shall not be filled to make room for caulking. A grouting nozzle shall be buried every certain distance. After the quick setting material reaches a certain strength, the elastic plugging slurry can be poured through the grouting nozzle pressure until the deformation joint no longer gives water. Then fill the upper part of the deformation joint groove that has been sealed with expansion rubber waterstop or elastic sealing material with the same width as the joint, and pour concrete on the surface for burying or trowel with cement mortar.
2. Paste method:
After grouting the deformation joint for water stop and embedding the elastic sealing material, the synthetic polymer rubber sheet with large elongation and high tensile strength can be pasted on the cement mortar protective layer. The specific method is as follows: clean the cement mortar protective layer, require the base course to be flat and dry, paint the base course treatment agent on the base course, after its surface is dry, paint the matching adhesive on the base course and the cut sheet, and stick the polymer sheet when the surface is dry. The edges of both sides of the sheet are padded with metal battens and then fixed with nails.
