Sharing rules of edge guard materials
1) Protection Railing It shall be composed of two upper and lower cross bars and balusters. The upper bar is 1.0~1.2m above the ground, and the lower bar is 0.5~0.6m above the ground. For roofs with a slope greater than 1:22, the protective railings shall be 1.5m high, and safety vertical nets shall be hung. In addition to the design calculation, when the length of the cross bar is more than 2m, railing posts must be added.
2) The fixing of railing posts shall meet the following requirements:
① When fixing around the foundation pit, steel pipes can be used and driven into the ground 50~70cm deep. The distance from the steel pipe to the edge opening shall not be less than 50cm. When sheet piles are used around the foundation pit, steel pipes can be driven outside the sheet piles.
② When fixing on the concrete floor, roof or wall, embedded parts can be welded firmly with steel pipes or rebars. When bamboo and wood railings are used, a 30 cm long N50 × 5 angle steel can be welded on the embedded parts, and a hole can be drilled in the upper and lower parts, and then the 10mm bolts can be used to fasten the bamboo and wood bars.
③ When fixing on brickwork such as bricks or blocks, 80mm × 6mm curved flat steel with appropriate specifications can be built in advance as concrete blocks for embedded iron, and then fixed with the above method.
3) The overall structure of the fixing of the baluster and its connection with the crossbar shall enable the guardrail to withstand 1000N external force in any direction anywhere on the upper bar. When there is possibility of crowding, vehicle impact or object collision at the location of the railing, the cross bar section shall be increased or the column spacing shall be increased.
4) The protective railing must be closed from top to bottom with a safety vertical net, or a tightly fixed toe board with a height of not less than 18cm or a foot fence with a height of 40cm shall be set below the railing. If there are holes on the toe board and toe fence, they should not be greater than 25mm. The gap between the board and the lower edge of the fence and the bottom surface shall not be more than 10mm. The railings on both sides of the receiving platform must be hung from top to bottom with a safety vertical net or full bamboo fence.
5) When the outer side of the edge faces the street, in addition to the protective railings, the open facade must be fully enclosed with safety nets or other reliable measures.
