1. Treatment air volume (Q)
The treated air volume refers to the volume of gas that can be purified by the dedusting equipment in unit time. The unit is cubic meter per hour (m3/h) or standard cubic meter per hour (Nm3/h). It is one of the important factors in the design of bag filter. When designing or selecting a bag filter according to the air volume, it is generally not allowed to make the filter operate when the air volume exceeds the specified air volume, otherwise, the filter bag will be easily blocked, its life will be shortened, the pressure loss will increase significantly, and the dust removal efficiency will also be reduced; However, the air volume should not be too large, otherwise the equipment investment and floor area will be increased. The reasonable selection of air volume for treatment is often based on the process conditions and experience.
2. Service temperature
For the bag filter, its operating temperature depends on two factors. The first is the higher temperature of the filter material, and the second is that the gas temperature must be above the dew point temperature. At present, due to the large selection of glass fiber filter material, its high use temperature can reach 280 ℃. For the gas above this temperature, cooling measures must be taken, and for the gas below the dew point temperature, temperature raising measures must be taken. For the bag filter, the relationship between the operating temperature and the dust removal efficiency is not obvious, which is different from the electrostatic precipitator. For the electrostatic precipitator, the temperature change will affect the specific resistance of the dust and affect the dust removal efficiency.
3. Inlet dust concentration
That is, the dust concentration at the inlet, which is determined by the process of the dust raising point. When designing or selecting the bag filter, it is another important factor second only to the treatment air volume. It is expressed in g/m3 or g/Nm3. For bag filter, the inlet dust concentration will directly affect the following factors:
(1) Pressure loss and ash cleaning cycle. With the increase of inlet concentration, the ash deposition rate on the same filter area is fast, and the pressure loss increases accordingly. As a result, the times of ash cleaning have to be increased.
(2) Wear of filter bag and box. When the dust is highly abrasive, its wear amount can be considered to be in direct proportion to the dust concentration.
(3) Whether pre dust collection is necessary. Pre dedusting is to add a dedusting device before the inlet of the deduster, also known as pre dedusting.
⑷ Ash discharge capacity of ash discharge device. The ash discharge capacity of the ash discharge device shall be subject to the ability to discharge all the collected dust. The amount of dust is equal to the dust concentration at the inlet multiplied by the air volume to be treated.
(5) Operation mode. The bag filter is divided into positive pressure and negative pressure operation modes. In order to reduce fan wear, positive pressure operation mode is not suitable for those with high inlet concentration.
4. Dust concentration at outlet
The dust concentration at the outlet refers to the discharge concentration of the dust remover, which is expressed in the same way as the inlet dust concentration. The dust concentration at the outlet shall be subject to the local environmental protection requirements or the user's requirements. The discharge concentration of the bag filter can generally reach below 50mg/Nm3.
5. Pressure loss
The pressure loss of bag filter refers to the pressure drop, or resistance, of gas from the inlet to the outlet of the filter. The pressure loss of bag dedusting depends on the following three factors:
(1) Pressure loss of equipment structure.
⑵ Pressure loss of filter material. It is related to the nature of the filter material (such as porosity).
⑶ Pressure loss of dust layer accumulated on filter material.
6. Operating pressure
The operating pressure of the bag filter is determined according to the static pressure value and installation position of the devices and fans before and after the filter, which is also the design pressure value of the bag filter.
7. Filtering speed
Filtering speed is an important factor in the design and selection of bag filter, which is defined as the speed of filtered gas passing through the filter material, or the ratio of the air volume passing through the filter material to the area of the filter material. The unit is expressed in m/min. If the filter area of bag filter is determined, the air volume to be treated depends on the selection of filter speed, and the formula is:
Q = v × s × 60 （m3/h）

S - total filtration area (m2)
Note: Filtering area (m2)=processing air volume (m3/h)/(filtering speed (m/min) x 60) The filtering speed of the bag filter can be divided into gross filtering speed and net filtering speed. The so-called gross filtering speed refers to the processing air volume divided by the total filtering area of the bag filter, while the net filtering speed refers to the processing air volume divided by the net filtering area of the bag filter.
In order to improve the ash removal effect and the ability of continuous work, the bag filter is divided into several rooms (or areas) in the design, and each room has a main gas valve to control whether the room is in the filtering state or in the shutdown state (online or offline state). When a room is being cleaned or repaired, its main air valve must be closed and the filter must be stopped (offline). At this time, the air volume to be processed is completely borne by other rooms. The total filtering area of other rooms is called the net filtering area. In other words, the net filtering area is equal to the total filtering area minus the total filtering area of the number of ash cleaning rooms and maintenance rooms that must be maintained during operation.
8. Length diameter ratio of filter bag
The length diameter ratio of the filter bag refers to the ratio of the length and diameter of the filter bag. The length diameter ratio of the filter bag is as follows: blowback type - 30~40 mechanical shaking type - 15~35 pulse type - 18~23
