Function of steel edge rubber waterstop:

The purpose of the steel edge rubber waterstop is to prevent water seepage and leakage at the concrete joint. The reasons are as follows:

1. In the architectural design of many projects, continuous pouring is not possible.

2. Thermal expansion and cold contraction of concrete components caused by foundation deformation or temperature change.

3. Construction joints, settlement joints and deformation joints shall be reserved. Steel edge rubber waterstop can be installed at these joints to prevent water leakage.

Precautions for construction of steel edge rubber waterstop:

1. The steel edge rubber waterstop is applicable to the sealing waterstop treatment buried in the concrete when pouring waterproof concrete in whole or in part.

2. The specification of steel edge rubber waterstop shall be selected according to the size of deformation joint or construction joint, and stable fixing measures shall be taken.

3. The tensile strength index of the joint part of the steel edge rubber waterstop shall not be less than 80% of the performance index (except for the field construction joint).

4. The correct installation position of the steel edge rubber waterstop is that the surface of the waterstop is vertical to the construction joint or deformation joint. Or the center line of the steel edge rubber waterstop coincides with the construction joint or deformation joint.
