Packing
close Pinyin: p á n g e n packing (packing) is also called sealing packing, which is usually woven from soft linear objects. Usually, square or rectangular, circular strips with a cross-sectional area are filled in the sealing cavity to achieve sealing. The packing seal was originally used as the shaft seal of water lifting machinery to stop the leakage of liquid flow by plugging cotton, linen and other fibers in the leakage channel. Because of its wide source, easy processing, low price, reliable sealing and simple operation, the packing is still used today. Nowadays packing is widely used for rotating shaft seals of centrifugal pumps, compressors, vacuum pumps, mixers and marine propellers, reciprocating shaft seals of piston pumps, reciprocating compressors, refrigerators, and rotating seals of valve stems. Compiling packing: braided packing is made of expanded graphite wire, which is commonly used in most occasions except strong oxidant, and can be used in boiling water, high temperature, high pressure steam, heat exchange medium, oil, acid, alkali, hydrogen, ammonia, organic solvent, hydrocarbon, low-temperature liquid and other mediums. It is a unique new type of sealing packing. Application: It is widely used for sealing centrifugal and reciprocating pumps, valves, pipes, etc. in dry petroleum, chemical industry, electric power, metallurgy, machinery, paper making and other industries.
