AS
close AS is an ancient disease, which was described as early as ancient Egypt. In 1691, there was an official medical record of AS, but it has always been considered as a variation of rheumatoid arthritis and known as "rheumatoid arthritis, central type" or "rheumatoid spondylitis". It was not until 1973 that people found that AS was related to HLA-B27. Later, with the deepening understanding of AS, AS was separated from rheumatoid arthritis, which was called the category of spinal arthritis. At present, it is generally believed that the incidence of AS in women is lower than that in men, and the ratio of men to women is (2-3): 1. Women's peripheral joint involvement, cervical vertebra and upper back pain are more common, with mild clinical symptoms and good prognosis. Spondyloarthritis is a group of diseases with common clinical characteristics, formerly known as spondyloarthropathy or serum negative spondyloarthropathy, including AS, reactive arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, inflammatory enteropathic arthritis, juvenile spondyloarthropathy, and undifferentiated spondyloarthropathy. This group of diseases has a high HLA-B27 gene positive rate and family clustering, Joints mainly involving the central axis and lower limbs have tendinitis and some characteristic extraarticular manifestations. This group of diseases may gradually develop into AS.
