The overflow valve is a hydraulic pressure control valve, which mainly plays the role of constant pressure overflow, pressure stabilization, system unloading and safety protection in hydraulic equipment. Constant pressure overflow effect: in quantitative pump In the throttling regulation system, the constant flow is provided by the constant displacement pump. When the system pressure increases, the flow demand will decrease. At this time, the overflow valve is opened to allow the excess flow to overflow back to the oil tank, so as to ensure the inlet pressure of the overflow valve, that is, the pump outlet pressure is constant (the valve port is always opened with the pressure fluctuation).
Pressure stabilizing function: the overflow valve is connected in series on the oil return circuit, which generates back pressure and increases the stability of moving parts.
Unloading function of the system: connect small overflow flow in series at the remote control port of the overflow valve Solenoid valve When the electromagnetic iron is energized, the remote port of the overflow valve is connected to the oil tank, and the hydraulic pump is unloaded. The overflow valve is now used as the unloading valve.
Safety protection function: when the system works normally, valve close. Only when the load exceeds the specified limit (the system pressure exceeds the set pressure), the overflow will be opened for overload protection, so that the system pressure will not increase (usually the set pressure of the overflow valve is 10%~20% higher than the higher working pressure of the system).
In practical applications, it is generally used as unloading valve, remote pressure regulating valve, high and low pressure multi-stage control valve and sequence valve to generate back pressure (in series on the oil return circuit).
The relief valve generally has two structures: 1. Direct acting relief valve. 2. Pilot operated relief valve.
