The differential pressure transmitter is a tool to measure the pressure difference between the two ends of the transmitter. The biggest difference between the differential pressure transmitter and the ordinary pressure transmitter is that the differential pressure transmitter has two pressure interfaces, and the measured data will be accurate only when the positive pressure end of the differential pressure transmitter is greater than the negative pressure end. At the same time, the output standard signal of differential pressure transmitter is generally 4-20mA, 0-5V. Its main working principle is that the result measured by the differential pressure transmitter is the pressure difference, that is, △ P=ρ g △ h. Since the oil tank is usually cylindrical, the area S of its section circle is constant, so the gravity G=△ P · S=ρ g △ h · S, S is constant, and G is proportional to △ P. That is, as long as the △ P value is accurately detected, it is inversely proportional to the height △ h. When the temperature changes, although the oil volume expands or shrinks, the actual liquid level increases or decreases, the detected pressure remains unchanged. If the user needs to display the actual liquid level, the medium temperature compensation can also be introduced to solve the problem.

Due to the limited accuracy of the flowmeter, the highest level is only 0.2. The differential pressure transmitter also needs to measure the density calculation, and the results are often inconsistent, resulting in metering disputes. Because the measurement result of oil tank is tonnage, and the accuracy can reach 0.2 or even 0.1, the measurement result of differential pressure transmitter is more accurate than that of volumetric flowmeter. Although the absolute error of the measurement results is large due to the resolution when a small number of oil products are delivered in and out of the warehouse, the differential pressure transmitter is incomparable with other measurement methods for its high accuracy and small relative error when a large number of oil products are delivered in and out of the warehouse, especially suitable for monthly, quarterly and annual inventory. The practice shows that its main advantages are: ① simple and convenient installation and maintenance; ② The reading is direct and clear, and the inventory of oil products can be read directly; ③ The measurement and conversion of density are exempted.
