1： What is an optical fiber coupler?
1 Alias: Fiber coupler is also called fiber adapter or fiber flange.
2 Definition: A detachable (movable) connection device between optical fiber and optical fiber, which accurately connects two end faces of optical fiber, so that the optical energy output by the transmitting optical fiber can be coupled to the receiving optical fiber to a large extent, and its interference in the optical link can reduce the impact on the system.
3 Classification: according to different optical fibers
SC optical fiber coupler: It is used for SC optical fiber interface. If there are 8 thin copper contacts, it is RJ-45 interface. If there is one copper pole, it is SC optical fiber interface.
LC optical fiber coupler: used for LC optical fiber interface, connector for connecting SFP module, commonly used in routers.
FC optical fiber coupler: It is used for FC optical fiber interface, generally at the ODF side.
ST optical fiber coupler: it is used for ST optical fiber interface and is commonly used for optical fiber distribution frame.
